I came in with a few old acid-lead batteries from an old UPS that I needed to recycle. AutoZone turned me away, despite having accepted similar batteries in the past, but the staff here took them without any issues. I especially want to give a shoutout to the gentleman who helped me at the front counter. He was kind, professional, and made the process easy. I regret not catching his name, but if you remember the guy with the small acid-lead batteries from over a month ago, that was me! Based on the customer service alone, I’ll be choosing Advance Auto over AutoZone going forward. Miles better.

I pulled in on a whim to my local Advance store and didn't see one like it on the racks. James noticed me looking and ask if he could help. I had the battery in my truck so he told me to bring it in. He took it to the back room and came back with two slightly different batteries. The dimensions were a little different from mine and the posts were not the same type. He showed me on the closest sized one the hardware that should work to attach the cables. Not wanting to turn in the core in case I needed it to compare something else, he told me to just bring in within a few days for the credit. Took the core in today and had the same great experience with him that I had during the purchase. James is the kind of employee every company would like to have.

I ran in frantic as my niece was twisted and stuck in the seatbelt in the back seat and I could not get her out. All three employees Robert, James and Angel that were on staff ran out to help in anyway they could. Robert immediately open the back door, made sure my niece was ok and assured her that everything would be ok. He told her he would get her out safely. He ran back in and brought out screw driver and some tool and was able to unlock the seatbelt. Not only did Robert save the day and my sister a ton of money from not cutting the seatbelt. He reminded us that there are really good people in the world and our community. The employees could have easily told me I'm sorry maam but we cant help you or that it's not apart of their job description but each of them came running out to help. My sister and I will always choose Advance Auto in Culpeper for our car needs. And we appreciate everything you did for us.
