Took our vehicle to get tires and alignment overall it wasn't a bad experience however we payed a deposit when we were cashed out we were charged full amount and to get the refund takes 14-21 days. quick to take the money but not return it. However that's not it I was told they did the alignment twice smh not even! Took our vehicle to get inspection and the guy said front alignment is not done and your tires will wear out soon if that isn't done correctly. They printed the photo to show me too and let me know another women came to them after an alignment and they did hers backwards. Be careful getting alignment here especially if they're making the claim to be home of the free alignment. Also they will make the claim that their system is up to date and most likely the other place that let you know it's not aligned isn't.

I got a slow-leak flat on I-81 near Christiansburg in the middle of an 8-hour drive and was towed to Tire Discounters. At first, things were going very smoothly. I explained to the first gentleman I worked with that I’d like to repair the tire if possible, but if not then I’d be interested in 1, 2, or even 4 tires since I knew they were already getting close to yellow. He checked the tread, agreed with me, and said he’d see if it was repairable first and if not he’d get me some prices. So I sat down to wait. They got my car on a lift quickly enough, but then a different person called me up to the counter to talk about what 4 tires I wanted. I said I wasn’t sure I wanted 4 tires. He said “your car is all wheel drive. You should change all 4 at once.” My car is NOT all wheel drive. I asked is the tire repairable. He said “my technician is still looking for the leak.” Another half hour goes by and I still don’t know if it’s reparable. He finally tells me it’s not reparable. I ask why. He says the tread is too thin. I already know that the tread still has 3 or 4 tenths left. Considering he has already told me something that is not true, I don’t know whether to believe him. Trust has been destroyed. So I tell him I just want one tire and I’ll deal with the other 3 when I get through my trip. So, he takes his good old time writing up a disclaimer that they have warned me that changing one tire on a AWD vehicle is not wise. So, I confront him that my car is not AWD. I tell him I’ll sign it but if something happens it will be known that the car is not AWD. He takes the papers, crumbles them up and throws them away. Eventually, I pay for my one tire (which is not how I wanted this to go) after my car has been on the lift for nearly 1.5 hours, and I talk to the manager. I tell her I probably would have bought 4 tires but for how my situation was handled. She’s very polite, but honestly didn’t seem to care that my experience was poor. Didn’t even seem surprised. She may have talked to the other guy because before I said anything she gave me free road hazard insurance on the tire, which of course is something worthless to me since no stores are near my home, which I had already explained to the other guy. I just hate it that you have to assume that people are out to take advantage of you in a vulnerable situation, but it so often seems to be the case with car repair.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tire Discounters

How do I know if I need an alignment?

The #1 cause of uneven or rapid tire wear is misalignment. Your vehicle also may pull to one side or feel "loose" when steering, and you might even observe a drop in fuel economy. Alignment is critical to tire life and vehicle safety. In fact, if you install new tires on a misaligned vehicle, some manufacturers won't even honor your tire warranty. Everyday driving, potholes, hard turns, and sudden stops, gradually knock your wheels out of alignment. This wear is natural, but it can quickly chew through your tires. That's why Tire Discounters includes a FREE alignment ($129.99 value) when you purchase 4 tires installed. It's just another way we help you get more life (and more value) out of your tires.

How do I get a free alignment?

At Tire Discounters, when you purchase any 4 tires with installation, you get a FREE alignment. A 4 wheel alignment is valued at $129.99, and comes with a 12 month warranty.
