Huge shout out to Jacob at Mr.Tire.
I had originally scheduled at a different auto service center in the area online, when I showed for my appointment there (Tire Discounters), it seems there was an issue with my online booking and it was scheduled somewhere else. At that facility, it seemed I was an inconvenience to the person “assisting” me, and the quote tire discounters gave me vs online was a stark $350 difference. So in my frustration, I quickly got online at 6 pm and booked at Mr.Tire because they had the exact tires I was planning to get at TireDiscounters for around the same price I was originally quoted.
Upon arriving at 6:30 at Mr.Tire, I realized I missed a call from Mr.Tire informing me that they couldn’t complete my full tire replacement today as they close at 7.
I came inside, and spoke with Jacob.
It was clear they were very busy (this was a Friday evening after all), but he stepped aside to help me. Although he was clearly swamped with vehicles in his bays already, he spent a good 10 minutes with me, setting me up for my tire replacement, and recommending a different brand of tire, as it got me the better deal.
Overall- Jacob treated me like my business mattered. He helped me find the best deal for my budget ($400 difference from the other tire place), and we were able to work around his fully booked day, to fit my vehicle in for service. Jacob also didn’t try and intentionally push other services onto me, he did tell me the offer many services aside from Tires, but he didn’t try to pressure me into getting more services than I was requesting.
Overall, I did a lot of research on tires and our local auto service centers, and Mr.Tire in Christiansburg is a top contender and they will be my new auto service provider in the future.
