They will call and reschedule you several times before you can get in. I was there for 5 hours and watched this happen to countless people. The front office was able to correct the mistake, send for the right glass (thankfully they had extras on hand) and still keep my appointment and get it done. For this area, where many drivers have vehicle units, it would be excellent customer service to provide the parts/tips/directions on how drivers can handle replacing this. The job feels incomplete because I'm left figuring out how to replace my unit. Many people use your service through no fault of their own; it's a costly inconvenience that is usually caused by something or someone else. Taking the time to actually make the customer whole would go a long way. It would make a “good experience great.”

After paying my $500 deductible, I waited for two hours before being told they didn’t have an undamaged windshield for my vehicle. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue that really needs to be addressed. It almost felt like they didn’t want to stay after 5:00 p.m. to finish the job. I had driven two hours to get there and spent nearly my entire Saturday waiting for nothing to be done. The front desk staff and assistant manager were unhelpful and simply offered to reschedule me and give me a $75 wiper credit—which makes no sense when what I need is a new windshield, not wipers. They also said it could take “a few days” to get my $500 deductible back. It’s just really crazy they take your money having no idea if they can even complete the service. I was told the problem was with the warehouse staff (who “don’t work for Safelite”) and that nothing could be done since they had already gone home. They couldn’t call anyone in to get a new glass even for my inconvenience. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I won’t be returning to this or any Safelite location and will instead pay out of pocket to have it done locally.
