    Absolutely will not answer their phones. I have a reservation through an auto insurance claim, and still they will not acknowledge me. No matter what prompt I use their automated system ends up hanging up on me. They apparently don’t want my business.

    This is the second we booked a reservation where it got to the point of checking in the whole process then you get there and they’re are no rentals available. I’ve was told I was called when I arrived and I wasn’t. It’s ridiculous. Other then that the staff seem pretty nice.

    If I could leave no stars, I would. Absolutely the worst customer service experience we have ever had with any company. We are a military family of six—one of whom recently had surgery and cannot drive—simply trying to spend time with loved ones before the military relocates us across the country. On November 8th, we reserved an SUV well in advance to make this possible. We had a confirmation, everything was set, and we trusted Enterprise to honor the reservation. That was our mistake. At 3 p.m., we received a voicemail from the local branch informing us—without apology, without a callback number, and without any attempt to offer an alternative—that our reservation would not be honored because they had given out the last SUV on the lot. Just like that. We tried calling back repeatedly but couldn’t get a single human being on the phone. The number routes to a call center that can’t reach the branch and can only promise that a regional manager “will be in touch.” Spoiler alert: no one ever reached out. Not an email. Not a call. Nothing. Left completely stranded, we started calling around ourselves. We found a location in Virginia Beach that claimed to have a vehicle, so we transferred our reservation and my husband paid for an Uber to get there. He arrived only to hear the exact same line: no vehicle available. What makes this even more infuriating is that while he was standing in the lobby being told they had nothing, I contacted Enterprise customer service again—who proceeded to book another reservation at that very same location. I turned around to the desk employee, who then told me she would be canceling the reservation I had just made. You cannot make this level of incompetence up. What exactly are customers supposed to do in this situation? Every other rental company in the area has the decency to update their online availability when they have no cars. Enterprise, however, continues to take reservations they have no intention of honoring, leaving families like ours stranded and scrambling. Because of Enterprise’s complete disregard for basic communication, accountability, and customer care, our family will now miss what was supposed to be our final chance to see loved ones before being relocated thousands of miles away. We will spend the holiday at home trying to make the best of a situation Enterprise created. Enterprise should be ashamed of how they treat military families—or any family—with such blatant disrespect and indifference. We will never rent from Enterprise again, and we will make sure others know to avoid them as well.

    Horrible customer service. We booked a reservation online, with a pick up in two hours. When we arrived, the local location said they were overbooked and no cars available. Read the reviews; this is a pattern of double booking vehicles. The reply is the same for customers and NOTHING CHANGES. Terrible.
