- NMNathaniel MitchellFeb 26, 20261.0Felt like a lie. The clerk said there was no diagnostic code reader to check for emissions error codes. 4:05 PM, February 26, 2026. He then asked a colleague when the code reader would arrive, and the colleague said it would be in tomorrow. He said it would come tomorrow. I spoke to the clerk, and he advised that the code reader most likely would come tomorrow at ten, but to call the store first before I come. I'll update the review when I return tomorrow to attempt the same service. Update: Called back at 7:49 PM. Cody answered the phone, and I asked him the same question: "Hey, do you guys have a reader so I can check the codes?" He said yes, and I asked, "Is it available right now?" He said yes.

- NRNasrin RahimiDec 3, 20251.0I called inquiring about the battery I left there to charge two days ago, and the employee put me on hold for 7-8 minutes and I hanged up the phone and dial again, and he picked up the phone, and I said I don't think you understood me correctly and he just hang up the phone on me. I called again and he did hang up one more time. I could not believe someone treat the customer like this and I wasn't saying anything else just asking if the battery I left there two days prior is charged or not? I hope Advance Auto Parts invest a little bit more time and money to teach customer service to their employees. My experience was just disgusting I will never go to Advance Auto parts specially to West Springfield, VA.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
