I was in a very difficult situation. I needed a trailer inspection for my flatbed trailer. I called the store where they understood my need. The service and parts department communicated very clearly that this was close to the end of the day and if any work needed to be completed that parts didn't have, they would have to fail the trailer. After I arrived Lori Greene helped me, quickly got the trailer in the system and talked to the tech. From start to finish I was there less than 40-minutes! This is huge and I could not ask for better service. The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond. I knew I could trust this staff because I have purchased multiple RV. I was amazed that they took the time to help me even with a trailer General RV does not sale.

I recently took my motorhome in for service. My service advisor was April. She took her time and took down all my information and went over all the services that we’re going to be completed. Later on as I was checked out and almost home, it was realized that one of the services was not completed. Obviously, I was not happy as I live almost an hour away. April patiently listened to me and my displeasure. She immediately reported to the service manager about the situation and they notified me that they would send the technicians to my home to complete the service. Mistakes happen, that’s life. I am more than satisfied in the way things were handled. Kudos to the General RV staff in Richmond for addressing this matter and making sure that the customer is treated fairly. Many of us feel as if once you spend the money and buy a recreational vehicle from most dealerships, when it comes to taking your vehicle and getting service work done that you are not appreciated anymore. This is certainly not the case with General RV in Richmond. Great Job!!

GOOD LUCK TRYING TO SCHEDULE YOUR SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION. THEY IGNORE YOU, THEY PROMISE A CALL BACK THAT NEVER HAPPENS. AND THEY TEXT YOU AT THE END OF THE DAY ON A FRIDAY, TELLING THEY CANT HAVE YOUR RV DROPPED OFF ON THE SATURDAY, EVEN THOUGH YOU TOLD THEM ITS AN EMERGENCY, YOU DONT HAVE WATER, YOU BOUGHT THE RV FROM THEM AND YOU ARE UNDER THE WARRANTY FROM A **BRAND NEW RV** THAT COSTS OVER 150K.

Purchased a brand new camper last June. It has been back multiple times for repairs. None of the repairs have worked. The fuel tank would not receive fuel. They "dropped the tank lower". Why, it's brand new. But it now takes fuel, but leaks. Why, because they never put clamps on the hoses. When I say, dropped the tank, that means, they put 4 spaces on the bolts. The generator has never ran in gas mode. The battery has been replaced already. The intake to fill up the water tank. The hose was not even hooked up, so I flooded my floor when filling the tank. I gave up trying to get them to repair it and took it to a place near where I live. I don't mind paying out of pocket to finally get it fixed locally instead of driving 6 hours round trip for another warranty call that they will either, not fix or patch together. You would think when you spend $85,000 for a new toy hauler, you would at least get a call from then GM when you can't get it repaired right. But no, asked numerous times, left messages and no return calls or emails. My sales rep was the only bright spot to this place.

If I could rate with zero stars I would. Purchased a NEW Tiffin Byway from General RV Ashland Virginia, the actual RV was in Utah. We had to make accommodations to get there on our own. My husband went to pick it up and drive it home to Virginia. He had some problems noted, they advised use pictures and an explanation would be sent to General rv in Ashland. He got on the road and had several issues, not something you'd expect from a brand new coach. A check engine light that required a mobile tech in the middle of the night, not cheap. He was still having other issues and drove straight to General Rv in Ashland VA. They did a required state inspection that failed because the marker lights did not work, on a brand new RV? They said the repair would have to be approved by Tiffin. It was approved the same day, but the service department didn't open their email for 3 days so the work couldn't be started. We are supposed to be going on a planned vacation this week, they still haven't started the repairs, we were told we would be the first appointment today. I called the service advisor to check the progress and she let me know that there were other priorities, like new deliveries, ahead of us. So we've had a brand new Tiffin for 3 weeks and it still hasn't made it home. We are so upset about this, so much for camping in our new RV. I don't understand how you can spend good, hard earned money on a brand new rv and it have so many issues. There should be a quality inspection before it is sold, there shouldn't be an issue fixing those problems in a timely manner once they are found. Our current issue is wiring, they don't have to wait for any parts to be ordered or manufactured. Our family is very disappointed in the service department at this location (Ashland Virginia). We have gotten nowhere with our service advisor or the service manager, what a disappointment! They said it would be done Thursday and aren't budging on that. We are trying to leave early Friday morning, we won't have much time to prep and load the coach, will probably have to cancel Friday reservations.
