    I had a very good experience with National. I did not have to wait in line. The man who checked me in was efficient and informative. The man who turned over the car to me was helpful in helping me choose the right car for me and connecting my phone. The return was very easy. I would definitely use them again.

    I have been renting from National for over 25 years when I travel on business or pleasure. It doesn't seem to make any difference of the location, National has REAL customer service. My experience with National has been really great. The people that work there must be trained well, because they really know how to take care of their customers with "real people" not some AI system when you need to resolve an issue.

    Check out counter miskebly charged the vehicle with wrong credit card even though I presented with correct card. The representative applied with wrong card on file. After I driven away, I realized they applied to wrong card, I called customer service to update the current rental with correct card. They would not. I could not come back to the rental center for an update. I posed a question. “What if I get into an accident, who covers the damage?” No one could answer but not willing to update. I asked the representative “there should be a person who can change but no answer. There is an always way. I have been using NATIONAL for past 25+ years and this is a very sad experience. Why do I have to suffer from your mistakes????

    I got pulled over by the Maryland state police and issued a warning due to no stickers being on the tag. This was the sole reason for the stop. A pretty major inconvenience that caused me to be stopped in heavy traffic and be late for the sole meeting I traveled to attend. I explained the issue to a National attendant who received the car at DCA. No one from National has followed up with me thus far. Other than that incident, National personnel were super helpful and the car was clean. I’ll try and remember to check the tag next time before departure.

    I have used National for years but this rental was the pits! No Emerald Executive or Emerald Aisle available. You had to stand in line and take the next car that came available no matter what it was. We got a car that was disgustingly dirty inside and out! It was not large enough for our needs but the guy said this or nothing. It had been smoked in and absolutely reeked of old cigarette smoke. We had to drive with the windows open in sub-freezing weather because of the smell. There was no fluid in the windshield wiper cleaner and we were in a snow and ice area with lots of splash up on the windshield. It made seeing difficult! Car did not drive well and hesitated or stalled at every light. Terrible experience! I'm going to have to reactivate my membership at Hertz if this is what National does to 30+ years loyal customers.
