Daphni was phenomenal! So personable and patient as this was our first experience with you guys. It’s the bees knees not having to leave the car to get your oil change. I love how you get to sit there and see that they are taking care of everything and you inspect their work on the spot. And they willingly show you your dip stick after the oil is changed. All air filters are swapped and you see the new ones going in for extra peace of mind. As a woman especially I appreciated this. I don’t like to take my car just anywhere. This far exceeded my expectations. Well done to your employees and company for providing such a great service.

I had one of the most disappointing service experiences I’ve had in a long time at the Valvoline in Saratoga Springs. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I went in for a routine oil change yesterday — something that should be simple and done with basic care. Instead, my vehicle was left in a condition that clearly shows a lack of attention to detail and professionalism.
When I got home and opened the hood, I found oil residue splattered across multiple areas under the hood — the engine cover, the air intake box, and even the top of the upper radiator support cover. This wasn’t a small drip — it was noticeable, messy, and completely avoidable.
What’s most frustrating is that this should have been caught and cleaned before they said the job was done. It gives the impression that the job was rushed and no one bothered to do even a basic final check.
If they were careless enough to leave a mess this obvious behind, it is hard to feel confident the rest of the job was done properly.
I expect a place like this to take pride in their work, especially for something as routine as an oil change. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
I will not be returning to this location, and I would strongly caution others to double-check their vehicle before leaving — or consider going somewhere that values quality and attention to detail.

It was a good experience at the time. However, I got my next oil change at my dealership, for my regular service & they informed me that ‘whoever replaced my oil last VALVOLINE) replaced my air filter with the wrong filters. They did not fit and they shoved it in anyway. It was the wrong fit so it bowed & didn’t do the job it was meant to do. It would have been better to not replace. Why not be honest if you don’t have the right size? Feels like dishonest work. They also over torqued my oil & tires. Subaru not impressed with this location. Bummer.

DO NOT GO HERE, EVER!!!!
I have tried several times now to go here to get an oil change on my car. I work 6 days a week and only have Sunday off. And now I’ve spent 2 Sundays, one a month ago and then this last Sunday to get my oil changed. This place is a joke. Both times I tired it was over a 2 -3 hour wait if not longer because their management sucks at scheduling apparently. Even the employees there said they were sorry but that the managers have done this several times where they only schedules 3 people for the entire day. Pointing out both managers names are Heather and Joey I believe. At least that’s what their employee told me. And apparently it takes 2-3 people per oil change service which I get. But if you are open and busy on Sundays then freaking schedule more employees. It’s not rocket science. And clearly the employees that were there weren’t happy about it either. The one I spoke with said they do this all the time. So clearly my business isn’t important to your store. I even tried to call the store on Monday to ask for a manager, the gal who answered said what is this in regards to, I said I want to file a complaint about the managers not having enough staff on Sunday and a 3 hour wait to get my oil change done. She then told me there weren’t any managers available and didn’t even offer to take my number or info. I called back on Tuesday and got the same treatment. I get it’s hard to find good help but this store has more than enough help, they would rather skimp on staff and try to make more money. I thought the first time that it was just usually busy for a Sunday and decided I would give them a chance and try back again. But Nope. It was the exact same experience. Don’t waste your time or money here. Clearly the management at this location doesn’t care and I doubt corporate does either. And for anyone that reads this from Valvoline, get new managers. You’re loosing money and customers because they can’t even schedule appropriately. To anyone else looking for an oil change, you have 4 other oil change competitors within 1 square mile that are not only cheaper but that you won’t have to wait all day to get a simple oil change. I don’t even know how you stay in business operating like this. What a joke. I went to Havoline right across from Walmart and they got me in within 15 minutes and my car was done within 25 minutes. Walmart, Costco and even Jiffy live are all better alternatives than this place.

I had a really frustrating and honestly stressful experience at Valvoline. As a first-time driver with a manual transmission car, I expected a basic level of guidance and safety when going in for something as simple as an oil change. Instead, the situation turned into a complete mess that left me feeling blamed for something that could have been prevented.
When I arrived, I was directed to drive my car over the service pit. Because I’m still fairly new to driving a manual transmission, this kind of maneuver can be a little nerve-racking, especially in a tight space where there are employees and equipment around. I assumed that the staff would guide me clearly or even drive the car into the exact position if needed to make sure everything was safe.
Instead, I was told to drive forward myself with very little direction. As someone who is still learning and trying to be careful, this put a lot of pressure on me. These pits are obviously something the employees deal with every day, but for a customer—especially a new driver—it’s not something we’re used to navigating. Situations like this are exactly why staff should be helping ensure the car is positioned correctly.
When things didn’t go smoothly, instead of helping resolve the situation professionally, I was told I might have to pay for a tow truck. That completely shocked me. I came in for a simple oil change and suddenly I’m being told I might be responsible for towing costs because of how the car ended up positioned over their pit. From my perspective, this should never have happened in the first place if there had been proper guidance or if a staff member had handled positioning the vehicle.
What made the experience even worse was the lack of understanding or empathy from the employees. Being a newer driver is already stressful, and instead of helping calm the situation and find a reasonable solution, it felt like they immediately shifted responsibility onto me.
Places like this should prioritize customer safety and clear communication. Not every driver has years of experience, and not every car is the same. If you run a shop with a service pit, there should be clear procedures in place to prevent situations like this from happening. Customers shouldn’t feel pressured, confused, or threatened with unexpected charges over something that staff could easily help manage.
Overall, the entire experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. What should have been a routine oil change turned into a stressful situation that could have been avoided with better customer service, clearer guidance, and a little more professionalism.
I definitely won’t be returning, and I would recommend other drivers—especially newer drivers or those with manual cars—to be cautious before coming here.
