  I chose Strong Volkswagen because I wanted the safety of a well-established company for support and warranties on my used car. Well I chose wrong. Despite having signed for the maintenance plan, the warranties, the upgrades and all the add-ons they sell you on, I have spent the past week totally stranded because of Strong Volkswagen's incompetence. On Tuesday I took my car in for an oil change, they found a needed repair for almost $5k for a car I bought 5 months ago and was told had no mechanical issues. Since I had paid for the warranties, I asked why I would need to pay and they told they were sending the claim to be approved. If I hadn't asked, they would've just charged me. On Wednesday, they hadn't heard back from the warranty and they didn't have any loaner cars available. I told them I would need to be compensated for all the expenses I had to pay for not having a car and only then did they clarify that it wasn't that they didn't have any loaner cars, is that they couldn't give me one until the claim was approved. But they couldn't even tell me how long it would take to get it approved. I use this car every day to commute to work 20 miles each way. This is why I bought the car. I need it for my livelyhood and I paid extra for reliability and support. Today Friday, 3 days without a car, I am told that the warranty did not approve the claim but they would try to submit it for some other repair name that the warranty would approve but wouldn't be reviewed until Sunday (suddenly they do know how long it'll take to be approved). Now it is potentially 5 days without a car without any guarantee that I will have one by Monday. Strong Volkswagen has completely washed their hands, left me entirely abandoned and keep taking cover behind a bland "The warranty administrator" excuse. Not to mention they tried to get me to pay FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in repairs instead of immediatly sending the request for warranty approval. If you are looking for a used car, you will be better off buying off marketplace. Save yourself the money and the sanity.

  Of course Friday late afternoon my car decides to lose all electrical function off the steering wheel, ie, wipers, turn signals, horn, door locks and the creature comforts that are controlled via only steering wheel. Popped in to Dave Strong optimistic to at least get a checked out. I was in luck they dealt with me and car promptly. Told needed a few hours to sort out the electrical issue as the needed to take apart steering wheel. Returned Monday morning and was out the door just after noon. The quick, kind, friendly and professional. As a 20 plus year customer and the way I’ve been treated yet again. Looking like another 20 years of loyalty. Thanks Chip, Anthony and Samir

  Sales tactics from the start. Waste of time. I had a very disappointing experience with Marius. Before making the trip, I contacted them to confirm that a specific vehicle was available and made an appointment. I drove all the way there based on that information, only for him to first ask me the information on my trade in (I'm sure to save/make money), then saying; "let's see if we can find it, but if not at least I can get you some treats" "so and so isn't answering their phone" and then we watched as he aimlessly walked the lot looking only to return saying he thinks it sold. He did not properly check their inventory or physically verify that the car was actually there as I had asked. This was a complete waste of our time and extremely frustrating. Then to top it off seemed irritated that I was not interested in seeing anything else on the lot after he pressured us to do so. Basic communication and transparency should be standard practice for any dealership over sales tactics just to get you in the door. I would strongly recommend confirming availability elsewhere before making the drive. Attached is our text chain.

  PORFAVOR NO se confíe de este deller, te hablan muy bonito te ofrecen de todo pero al final son deshonestos, te enredan y te dicen firma aquí y firma allá y vamos a buscar lo mejor para ti y después te cobran más de lo pactado, OJO para los que NO hablan muy bien inglés tengan cuidado, Hoy me pasó a mí no quiero que mañana sean ustedes, la persona que me atendió se llama CÉSAR, no son personas empaticas y no dan solucion de NADA. PLEASE DO NOT trust this seller. They speak very nicely, offering you everything, but in the end, they are dishonest. They confuse you, telling you to sign here and there, and then go find what's best for you, only to charge you more than agreed upon. A WORD OF CAUTION for those who don't speak English very well: be careful. This happened to me today, and I don't want it to happen to you tomorrow. The person who helped me is named César. They are not empathetic and offer NO SOLUTIONS AT ALL.

  5 stars because this dealership has a long-standing reputation for honesty and genuine service. My family has bought and serviced our VWs here for years, and I recently brought in my first used VW for an oil change at 80,000+ miles. As always, everyone was friendly and professional. My only concern was the service recommendations. Before the car was inspected and based solely on mileage, I was presented with over $2,000 in suggested services. I declined most, but agreed to a “crankcase cleaning service” (which I hadn’t heard of before) after being told it was the most recommended item. I later learned this service is somewhat controversial and not always considered necessary unless there’s actual proof of buildup, which made me wish I had been given a clearer explanation of its purpose and any potential risks beforehand. After doing more research (on the internet, granted), I also saw that this engine flush can sometimes cause sever engine problems afterwards. The car is running fine, and I appreciate the team’s professionalism, but I’ll be asking more detailed questions about recommendations moving forward.
