    I had an excellent Sixt car rental experience at Salt Lake City Airport. Right after landing, I was able to select my vehicle directly in the app, which was very convenient. I’m not sure if it was because of my Platinum status, but I was pleasantly surprised to see multiple complimentary upgrade options available. I ended up choosing a Jeep Rubicon 4WD, which was perfect for traveling during the Christmas season—safe, reliable, and exactly what I needed for winter conditions. Although the SIXT rental location is not inside the airport terminal, the shuttle service was outstanding. The shuttle was readily available upon arrival, and when I returned the car on New Year’s Eve around 8:00 PM, the shuttle immediately took me back to the airport with zero waiting time. The entire process was smooth and efficient. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the service and would definitely rent from SIXT again.

    I’m European and rent from Sixt frequently across the EU, so I was genuinely excited to see they have a location in Salt Lake City. I initially had some concerns about the off-site pickup, but it turned out to be a complete non-issue. The Sixt shuttle arrived within about five minutes of us reaching the off-site rental pickup area (which itself is only a short three-minute walk from baggage claim). Check-in was quick and efficient, and the service agent was genuinely friendly and professional. The facility itself is modern, clean, and very well presented. The selection of cars available was excellent. honestly much nicer than what I’m used to at our home location. and we were even offered a complimentary upgrade. Drop-off was just as smooth: fast, straightforward, and the shuttle back to the airport was immediate. I will 100% rent from Sixt again the next time I’m in SLC.

    I've always had good experiences with SIXT and they are my typical go to when having to rent a vehicle. Was disappointed this time- picked up vehicle and as soon as turned on, it came up w low tire alert. "Lady" that came to look at it was extremely rude, and was also surfing Facebook while airing it up. She the talked down to me and tried to explain how tires work (like we are idiots 🙄 - mind you we are farmers, so we are familiar with tires 😂). When I asked about what to do if we had a problem (since they never checked to see if there was a problem with it) down the road she sarcastically snapped back that we probably need to go back inside and buy roadside assistance. Not sure why she was so miserable that day, but she needed to get over it. The guy at the desk was very friendly and offered a real solution of bringing the vehicle back if we had problems with the tire. Update: changing review to 1 star because the low engine oil light also just came on 2 hours after renting. So now we are stopping to check the oil in our $2500 3 day rental.....while we are on vacation. Perhaps the maintenance girl should spend more time doing her job and less time on Facebook.

    This experience confirms that SIXT operates with deceptive and unethical practices. At pickup, the agent aggressively pushed upgrades, prepaid fuel, and additional insurance. I clearly and explicitly refused all extras multiple times, in front of three witnesses. Despite this, after an exhausting and uncomfortable process of nearly 30 minutes, I later discovered that all the extras I refused were added to my contract anyway. When I contacted SIXT, they acknowledged in writing that these charges should never have been included and promised a refund. After weeks of back-and-forth, they changed their position and falsely claimed the payment was “made through a third party,” even though the charge was processed directly at the SIXT counter with my card. Instead of honoring the promised refund, they attempted to replace it with a voucher, which I explicitly rejected. I have no intention of using SIXT again, so a voucher is not a resolution — it is a way to avoid returning money that was taken without authorization. After that, they simply stopped responding. To make matters worse, days after the rental was already closed, I received yet another claim stating that a key was missing. This issue was never raised at the time of return and only appeared after my complaints, which strongly suggests a pattern of abusive post-rental claims. This is not a mistake — it is a pattern: • Aggressive upselling • Unauthorized charges • False promises of refunds • Attempt to force vouchers instead of refunds • Post-rental damage and item claims • Silence when challenged I strongly advise anyone to avoid SIXT altogether.

    SIXT knocked it out of the park (again)! I just returned from doing business with the SLC (airport) location and I cannot recommend them enough. When I made my original reservation (which was very simple), I made the mistake of selecting a vehicle that wouldn't best suit our needs. When we arrived on site to pick up the reservation, I asked the representative if there was any chance to switch to a better solution. She not only was happy to help, but she went WAY beyond the call of duty. We were able to find a much better solution with this absolute beauty. The timing couldn't be better either. When we arrived, unexpected weather blew in with a wintery mix, so despite becoming filthy (as pictured), we rode in comfort, confidence, and most importantly, safety. SIXT is a fantastic company and I cannot recommend them enough. If you're looking for a friendly option for a visit to SLC, you should look here. I can promise you I will be. Great prices. Easy to book. Free shuttle to nearby off-site campus. Friendly staff that is AMAZING. Incredible selection. Fast and easy return process.
