Very happy with my Enterprise experience in SLC. I booked through Delta. I have previously found Enterprise to be excellent but on the expensive side. The rates in SLC were competitive plus they guaranteed an AWD car (here a Jeep Compass) which is essential in SLC for skiing. Enterprise (like most—but not all— of the major companies) is at the airport and the pickup experience was seamless. Drop off as well. Super friendly group at counter and at pick-up. This was a slow week in SLC (not a holiday and not great snow), so I don’t know what it would be like on a crowded day, but I didn’t wait more than a minute at the counter and walked 3 minutes to my choice of 5 cars. A+ experience.

The female employee who assigned the car to me must have been having a bad day. She was talking to another employee in his booth and I believe our presence interrupted their conversation. She seemed put out having to wait on me. Perhaps she should work where she has limited contact with the customers? As for the car and other employees, things were great. Sincerely, HR

Overall a good experience besides the kids child lock didn't work and my 2 year old opened the back seat door on the freeway. When I returned it, they said there's another button on the door itself, they have to manually change before using it if I want the child lock to work. I think this is a very dangerous feature. The child lock should just work any time a driver gets in the car. They said some people don't want the child lock. If they don't want it, then the driver could simply not press the button. A renter should not have to manually use a key on the door itself to activate this.

I reserved a car for 5 passengers and 5 suitcases. The site and confirmation clearly showed 5 passengers and 5 suitcases would fit in the car. We were given a car that could barely fit three suitcases. I made several calls and was finally told that I could purchase a larger car for $40 per day. I refused the offer as I was promised a larger car for the price quoted. After several more calls I was connected to the manager. The manager at the Salt Lake City airport branch first told me I was mistaken and then asked for documentation. I sent both the reservation confirmation and the website that clearly showed the type of car for the price. Her email response was that Southwest Airlines made a mistake. That was it. No correction or responsibility was taken. I called the next day and was finally told that I could drive 40 minutes each way to get my car exchanged. After driving to SLC airport, I was finally given a car that I reserved and I was finally able to fit my family in the car. The car was great but literally had no gas. I barely made it to a gas station. This whole process started on Monday and ended Thursday. It had a huge impact on our vacation. I literally only asked for what I wash promised and was told repeatedly that I would need to pay extra and that I was wrong., even after providing the documentation that was requested. I was given one day of the rental cost as compensation, after three days of having the wrong car. I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of service and refusal to acknowledge the responsibility to provide the car that I was promised. This experience will make me think twice before renting from Enterprise again.

Enterprise continues to disappoint. I rented two cars and they requires the credit card to be in the name of the driver. I informed them that I was paying for both cars. They would not use my card for the rental of two cars. I asked if they could change the card when we returned so I could avoid having to send money to the other driver. Certainly, was their response. When we returned the cars, I asked to make the change before they scanned the returns. No problem they said. Instead of changing my second car to my cc, they went ahead and charged my son’s card. What a customer service screw-up. This caused issues for both my son and myself. In addition, they charged my card for a cracked windshield that was present when we picked up the car. Never again. Beware of these deceptive practices.
