  Budget Salt Lake City airport Utah is a nightmare. They gave us a horribly smelly car. We tried to deal with it and just couldn’t. Were not staying near airport and trying not to use the car but we needed it and that’s why we rented it for such a high cost! Called several times over days and could not get a human on the phone. Once sis, they were in Altanlta and couldn’t help us. Then got a Utah person but he just said had to treck all the way back to the airport to talk to a manager. We ended up stuck in the rental return area where there was ONE person, Laura, who had other priorities and could not help us. She said there was no manager there for us to talk to! Finally, she called a manager Abraham. He said he is the only manager and is not there working now. Laura and he question our motives and continually ask why we waited 2.5 days to come back. Seriously? Who wants to deal with any of this?! He made us leave and go fill the tank and offered nothing for our troubles and lost day or wasted gas to do all this. Then, we get lost on the way back to get a replacement car. Now we are late and have to wait again for Laura to be free. We get in the same car which seems fine until the sun hits the windshield and it’s disgustingly dirty- had to stop and clean it to drive! The next day, we are driving to Moab to enjoy our plans in this beautiful state and the CarPlay doesn’t work! Again, can’t get a damn human in the phone and certainly not ruining another day of our vaca to go back to the airport for horrible service again! What do we do now????? There is so much more to this story. So disgusted with Budget.

  Ali was such a great help , that day was crazy snowing and our car got stuck down the hill he walked to us and helped moving the car. We didn’t know how we would make it to the airport that day without his help. Definitely will be back next year.

  There should be negative stars for the customer service and efficiency of this company. I counted 12 different families who stood for over an hour and a half waiting for cars that they had reserved SIX months in advance. Unbelievably bad service at the counter. Unbelievably atrocious business practices. How this company continues to exist boggles my mind. Don't choose Budget, rent a horse and a buggy. You'll most likely get to your destination sooner.
