- TMTheresa MbakuOct 26, 20251.0Hello, I was at the Maverik station in Layton at the corner of Antelope on Sunday, October 26 at approximately 7:15 p.m. One of the pumps had a yellow cover over the handle so it could not be used. I moved to a different pump, but the machine stalled. I pressed the attendant button three separate times and no one responded. It was cold and raining, so I walked toward the front of my car to get the cashier’s attention through the window. When I finally got his attention and held up my card, he simply raised his hands in a dismissive gesture instead of offering any assistance or inviting me inside to resolve the issue. The attendant inside the store was a Caucasian gentleman, bald head with glasses. He needs to be fired. He wasn't even waiting on anyone. Maverick, I know this is not how you train your people. Every time I go to Maverick and I've gone to Maverick for decades I've always received excellent service. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I have always chosen Maverik because of the customer service, but I will not be returning to this particular location. I will be using the Highway 193 store going forward. A simple acknowledgment and offer of help would have gone a long way.
