Great gas station, clean restrooms & store front, and well stocked store with hot food options. Fair to market price on fuel.

BEWARE: Immediate profiling, repeatedly hostile and rude manager/employee Had the opportunity to stop into this Maverick's with a friend for some tea at night, only to be met with immediate hostility and racial stereotyping by Deb (Deborah?) the cashier. From her flaunting of "I've worked here for 30 years" I assume she is a manager of sorts. Interactions included: - her shouting fake and unprovoked claims about us to the entire store, - attempting to intimidate us with threats of “cameras always watching” (we were literally just making tea and paying at check out), - making her coworker follow my friend to the bathrooms, seemingly stalking our movements pouring said tea aka unprompted hyper-vigilance, - then getting PHYSICAL forcing the scanner onto my friend's cup with no explanation at self checkout (it would have been fine if she explained then showed, instead she immediately shoved her body over the check out machine and attempted to yank his cup towards her to the scanner while shouting "I've been here for 30 years, I know what I am doing"). Sorry, but that is plain weird and an obvious power trip. Can't help but notice we were the only POC people in the store and everyone else did not get a single glance nor were ever questioned without any proof like we were. We already noticed the stare from the lady the minute we walked in. Check the security cameras that y’all oh so intimidated us with. Check your workers. If you want to argue it wasn't racially motivated, fine, but this was plain hostile and no human in ANY customer service should treat another human the way we were treated EVER, especially unprompted. We've already reached out to Maverick's corporate to inquire further on this. I would be more than happy to elaborate further on these anecdotes, as i can understand possible nuances that exist from both sides of these interactions, but in the end as a customer this experience was distressing, frustrating, and borderline unsafe all objectively started by the employee who interacted with us. Edited 3/25 for formatting and clarification
