  Tyler and Wade at Grease Monkey provided exceptional service when I brought my vehicle in for an oil concern on New Year's Eve. They quickly diagnosed the issue, topped off all fluids to proper levels, and handled everything professionally without any hassle. Their expertise and courtesy—especially on a holiday—were outstanding. If you need reliable service, ask for Tyler and Wade specifically. Highly recommend.

  I was there for 1 hour and 45 min while people were coming and going. I think 10 people at least came and went before they even came in and talked to me. When I arrived there were only two people and two cars before me. I got an emissions and oil change. There is no way it takes one hour and 45 mins to do that. I asked twice what was wrong or why it was taking so long or if the others had appointments and they ignored my question. I am still so confused as to why a 15 min oil change and emissions took that long. I will not be going back!! I don’t know what emissions cost but between that and the oil change it was $185 (they did clean/flush) my oil which was an additional $25 great but still WOW!

  For an update, since getting my oil changed at Grease Monkey Centerville, and since writing my original review, I found about 8 - 16 ounces of oil on my garage floor and across my driveway after driving out. My garage and driveway have remained clean so it was disappointing to see the oil. I took my vehicle back to Grease Monkey where they looked at it and informed me it was poor clean up from the oil change. With some prompting from me they showed me a product to clean up my garage floor and driveway but did not offer it to me. It is something I will need to go get on my own. As I left I noticed them giggle and laugh toward me which makes me think they don’t care about damage they cause. It’s only oil on an old garage floor but it’s important to me. This was my first time using Grease Monkey but I won’t be back again. Here’s my original review. I now do not feel it is top notch service. Grease Monkey Centerville Utah provides quick, convenient, top notch service. I love that they give you the status of your battery and assess other parts to give you a heads up on any items that may present a future concern. I appreciate the care for the overall health of my vehicle.

  I pulled up to my local Grease Monkey in Centerville and two employees greeted me. I told them I needed an oil change and fluids checked. They recommended an engine flush which I agreed to. The charge was reasonable and I was able to leave within 30 minutes.

  I will try and be as fair as possible while writing this review because it does affect a persons business. I believe they took advantage of my wife who knows little about what oil changes should cost or what type of oil should go into a vehicle. They charged my wife $166 for a simple oil change. She did not get any extra filters or have any other duties performed. They told her that our vehicle(2022 Kia Sorento, 6 quarts of oil) required to have "European" Synthetic oil. I know being somewhat educated on oil, that is a possibility yet very expensive. They never offered her another choice, just said this was the oil that needed to be applied. I have had my oil changed at the Kia Dealership for 3 years and never once had a European Syn applied to our Kia nor ever even offered. My cost at the Kia Dealership was $103. We all know getting things done at the dealership is going to cost you a little more. Saying that, Walmart offers a basic oil change for $79.00.(now you might have to pay a little extra for different or extra oil) I called Grease Monkey to discuss this with them but they were okay with the charges and didn't feel they needed to explain to my wife any other scenario or option for her at the time of transaction. They also mentioned that the European oil "that my KIa required" was the only choice of oils in that weight, they had no other oils for my Kia. Isn't Kia pretty mainstream? The work they performed was clean and done to satisfaction. No complaints there. The outright deception to someone that might not know better, I feel is a horrible business practice. I'm sure this does not happen on every visit to Grease Monkey, but I'm sure it happens on unexpecting patrons that might not know any better. My advice to anyone that is thinking about visiting Grease Monkey, find another shop that will give you many different options, not just the one that benefits the company, but also the customer.
