This store has a $175 hold on debit card transactions and you can NOT use it for pay at the pump , you HAVE to go inside and interact with a cashier to process the payment and receive a PIN code to go back out to the pump and enter…………
At NO TIME was the excessive amount of hold ever mentioned or I would have just prepaid an exact amount…………..
It’s sad that they would do this to there local customers that live paycheck to paycheck and have families to feed , babies to take care for , jobs to commute to and from, that only make $300 -$400 dollars a week………..
PREPAID TRANSACTIONS ONLY would be the way to process ALL DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS………… don’t you think……..
But no let’s charge $175 , $125 more than any other Maverik store that the transaction is processed within minutes of hanging up the nozzle……… not this one though……… this is the 21st century………… technology has vastly improved over the last 3 decades on dispensers and operating systems………….
And I am NOT a local, I live in Sturgis SD ……….
I was traveling Fri, Sat,Sun and spent several hundreds of dollars on fuel and food at Maveriks on the way back and forth……… exclusively at Maverik……….. but never again if that’s the way they do business with their customers………….
And my concerns with corporate is the nail in the coffin………. They did not care ………….. “ you should no that the bank cards could have holds placed on them up to $500 dollars on them” ………….. not that it was outside the norm for mavericks……….. that they would look into prepaid transactions at the location………. They didn’t care about the local customers in the Riverton WY Area whatsoever…………..

i went here with my 2 brother, me and him are ten, one is eight. When he got there he only had one goal, just but a lollipop and leave rude workers, and very nice to other adults. Please, if you’re a minor, don’t go here

My family brings me into the store a few times a week. Every time we come in, the new lady that works there, Billie, glares at us and other customers. She does not treat the customers politely at all. Today I was in there and she was bad mouthing 2 other employees. A few days prior to today, I was at the store and I was greeting the boss and she gave me and my little brother glares. Customers were not treated with respect. I have known the employees in there for many years and customers have always been treated with respect, and today was different with the new lady. I noticed today, she was on her phone most of the time I was there, whereas the other employees were working. I was at the register and she did not talk to me with respect like the other employees have everytime I come to the store. If she is to be any type of management, she will end up causing the store less business, and losing employees.
The staff here is super friendly and made my transactions with friendliness and generosity. Thank you, Billie
