So I went up to Halladay Nissan in Cheyenne Saturday . So I went up there with a trade in and I knew exactly what I wanted to look at and what I wanted. When I got there I was meant to talk to Tom which ended up being busy so entrusted us to a guy named Tyler but really great guys. So after about an hour we were in talk on buying a 2017 Jeep Cherokee it was a nice clean ride and thats what I wanted. He got me approved and we were in process of haggling of course on at least lower payments on what I can afford. Then I told him my fiance has no credit but maybe adding alittle extra income plus help with credit score she possibly can be my Co signer. He said no problem he can definitely work with that. So after another 45 minutes we was getting antsy and said we are going outside to look around. We was walking around the lot cause it was a nice day looking at there really nice cars that I couldn't afford. About 30 minutes Tyler comes and tells us outside that they was still working on it and the bank they were talking to was fine but wanted a 6,000 dollar down payment which at the beginning I told i had no money for a down payment. He said yeah I told them that so we are talking with them trying to work something out. I was like sweet thank you. So about 30 minutes later we was back inside sitting in his office waiting on Tyler he come back and sits in his chair and tells us ,So we are still waiting on that but my sales manager really would like to talk to you about another possible option would be buying a newer model. He didnt seem too thrilled to tell me this. I looked over at my fiancé and muttered oh great. So then tyler went and got him he introduced him self and actually at this point to be honest I wont lie I didnt even really care what his name was. I know how the game works you where trying to make more money off me. I don't feel the need to disclose to my other financial issues here. We have a limited budget and I was straight up with him what I need to pay a month. And 500 to 600 a month on a car payment for a 2025 to 2026 vehicle I cant afford that and he knew that. I was already approved with what I had on the vehicle I wanted and I told him that but he proceeded to push a brand new car on me. Look I kinda know how the game works and I know what you where doing. How do they think i can barely afford a 400 a month payment for a 2017... but i can afford a 2026 500 dollar + payment. No since at all .So needless to say I walked away with out my sweet ride and I really want to point out Tyler and Tom the other sales lady that was very friendly as well. But that sales manager was pushing something that I couldn't afford when I was already approved for the car I wanted in the first place. Its pretty upsetting too cause I was willing to even over pay alittle more than I wanted to just because I liked that car so much. Tyler still would have got a nice little commission but the sales manager ruined that.

*Halladay Nissan Cheyenne — June 2026*
We drove up from Fort Collins specifically to work with Halladay Nissan (after a poor experience in Fort Collins) and it was absolutely worth it. Our salesman Tom Medina was exceptional from start to finish.
What stood out immediately was Tom's honesty and transparency before we even set foot in the dealership. Over the phone he walked us through loan options at both 5% and 6% based simply on us sharing our credit scores verbally — no hard credit pull, no pressure, just real numbers so we could make an informed decision. That level of respect for our credit and our time was something we hadn't experienced before at a dealership.
When we arrived the experience continued with genuine warmth and professionalism — snacks, water, and a level of kindness that made the whole process feel comfortable rather than stressful.
Tom also anticipated a recall issue with the vehicle we purchased, proactively got us into a rental of the same model, and then personally delivered our new car to us once the recall was resolved. That kind of care and follow-through is rare and remarkable.
We came in as informed buyers and Tom met us exactly where we were — honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we got the right deal. We couldn't recommend him more highly.
