  Yesterday I went in for the premium package on a used car I have been getting work done on. The brakes felt like they needed to be replaced, my stopping distance is not what it should be. I have another car same model almost same year that brakes better. After a few hours they let me know it needed almost $2,000 worth of work, and that if I couldn't do that right now to just get the brakes cleaned and a new air filter. The air filter was kinda pricey but I said OK, you can do it, and today while turning at 15mph my brakes squeal. While in there they said the brakes were in the middle zone of their 3 color diagram meaning need replacement soon but not immediately a danger. I dont know why they weren't interested in just replacing them then since that's what I came in for and was ready to pay for. James asked me what I paid and when I told him he said well the repairs quote is for less than what I paid. I will be going somewhere else for new brakes I guess since they didn't feel like doing it. Now I am seeing on Facebook that our whole town has had the exact same experience of going in for the $200 premium special and then being quoted something entirely different. I will be getting another quote and will update this comment once there is a 2nd opinion. When I heard that squeal today I was so pissed. I drive a truck most days of the week and it isn't easy finding a day off to bring a car in for work.

  Driving through WY to CO and started hearing a soft grind from the rear brakes. Called Brake Plus and they got me right in. Recommended new pads and brake fluid (van has 109k miles). Honest and fair assessment plus a friendly and clean atmosphere (Keurig coffee and cold water). I was in and out and on my way to CO in under 90 minutes. All on a Saturday morning. 🙃
