- BSBrandie SingletonAug 22, 20265.0Soooo.....started a rear brake job on a Chevy 1500. Picked up rear caliper pins for our truck from Napa, they gave us the front caliper pins. Ok mistakes happen. Used the old ones and moved on. Decided to replace the parking brakes and wanted new shoes and a spring kit. We placed our order online, so we just needed to pick it up. The spring kit they gave us was for a Toyota corolla! The part number we ordered was UP 3501. The part number we got was UP 3051. At this point truck is immobile. Husband was pretty mad at this point. And Napa closed at 5 today. Ugh! So he cant leave to get correct parts. He called Advance Auto Parts in Whitehall. Spoke to Trevor, who was very knowledgeable and personable. I got off work at 6pm Trevor had the CORRECT part waiting for me. We are forever grateful and will be customers forever!

Someone tried to staple and tape it back it was missing multiple pieces. I took it back to the store. To get a replacement or a refund. She asked the person Eric the person who picked the order was this package okay, when he picked it earlier, he looked at her and said yeah it was fine. Which was a lie..I said, it's missing the directions,multiple pieces, it's nothing I can do with it. They said they will replace it. That's all I was looking for or my money back but for Eric to lie to her and tell her it was fine. When he picked it, is were you lost my business forever. If they can lie about something small like that. They'll lie about something else. The only reason it doesn't have a single star is because they gave me a replacement, but if the package was okay, when you picked it early in the day. Why are you guys not giving me more pushback, about not giving me a replacement or a refund because you knew it was open...

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
