- ABAmber B.Oct 19, 20265.0Kelson was absolutely incredible today! I came in with a dying battery. Kelson was able to identify my issue, gather the new battery and install it in hardly any time at all. Unfortunately when I went to back out, my car died. He came straight out and immediately started narrowing down the issue. Stupidly, I had let my car run out of gas in my attempt to get to Advance to get the battery. Kelson then pushed my car by himself into a parking space so I wouldn’t get hit and told me to wait for just few minutes. He came back in no time and said his driver would be back soon and would take me to get gas. His driver showed up, was also very kind and helpful and safely took my to get gas. Once that was accomplished and we got back, Kelson got the gas in and got my car running. I honestly am not sure what I would have done without his help. He definitely made a rocky start to the day considerably easier! I will make a point to go to this Advance anytime I need any parts or supplies!

She went to advance auto on 60, with our two year old, and they says the suburban was too difficult to install. She asked who could install and he named a place a and d they said it would cost $500 probably (I was on the phone with her and heard it) So I call auto zone Down. The hill and explain the situation - guy says “no problem - we will get it done” Ten minutes and the battery was switched. I’ll wait on the part to come in from auto zone before I ever go back to advance

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
