  Ordered a Leer topper on 5 May, I called on 20 July for a status and was told it had arrived last Thursday, I expected a call when the topper arrived. Made an appointment for install; on the day of my appointment, I waited for 15 minutes for someone to assist me, no one was in the office/showroom. An employee arrived for work (I saw them pull in) and didn’t say a word to me until he was done doing whatever he was doing on the computer. The install could not be completed because they were missing a bracket, not sure why we didn’t ensure all the parts were there before making the appointment. Missing bracket arrived and I went again for install on 30 July. I watched the install as the topper almost fell off the forklift as the installer navigated the rough surface of the parking lot. Another employee grabbed the topper. The topper was not level when he sat it down on the bed, so it rubbed the cab, the employee yelled for the forklift driver to stop but he didn’t hear. I later noticed this caused rub marks on the topper, damaging the paint. Then they had trouble with the mount bolts and appeared to not torque the nuts properly. They are lock nuts and there were not any threads protruding through the locking feature of the nut. The topper was dirty both inside and out, probably from sitting outside. Finally, the employee gave me one key for the topper latch, I asked if there was only one key and he said yes. I’ve since learned there should be two keys. I called to get a second key on 31 July. The individual I spoke with said yes there should have been two keys. He took my info and said he would contact Leer for a second key and would then call me back. I verified that he had my phone number. I never received a call or a second key. I ended going to Leer to get a second key via an email request after calling their customer service and being told they don’t do keys and to find another dealer. Not pleased with this transaction at all. Won’t be going back to this location in the future. On 5 Aug I noticed the weather stripping on the window had come loose and was hanging off, I opted to do the repair myself after the experience with the install.

  I went to the location on McCorkle Ave SW in Charleston, WV. Matt was very knowledgeable of the products they carried that I was looking for (bed cover & running boards). He quoted me a fair price - order came in quickly - and they installed everything on my timeline. Everyone in the store was friendly. Nice job guys & thanks!
