Janette immediately helped me, walking me through the options and price points without ever making me feel lost or foolish. At checkout, I became emotional—my husband, who handled things like this, passed away in November, and this was one of many tough “firsts.” Janette, who I later learned is the General Manager, showed incredible kindness. She reached across the counter, told me it was okay, and even gave me her card with her number. An amazing customer helped install the wiper, and I left feeling reminded that there are truly kind people in this world. Janette’s compassion meant more to me than she’ll ever know.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
