  Great customer service! First car had smoky mold smell. The customer service person was completely understanding and apologized. She was able to get me another car right away. No mold, smoking smell with the new rental. Thank you!

  Got car with broken rear view mirror, no discount offered. Not a lot of info at rental, where to return etc.

  Did a one way rental and dropped it off here after hours. They weren’t open the next day, so I was auto charged for an extra day. I emailed the office and they immediately refunded me. Great customer service. :)

  My experience at the Rhinelander, Wisconsin Alamo rental car desk at the airport was quick and convenient. However… I was very disappointed that the minivan I had reserved was not available even though my rental reservation was made probably two months before my arrival. While the clerk explained that I had been “upgraded“ to a Buick enclave, I explained I reserved a minivan because I needed a minivan. Seven passenger seating was not my requirement it was the “stow & go” seating I needed to create a flat floor to load 4x8’ Sheets of plywood and transport a few pieces of furniture. The Alamo personnel explained that recalls on the Dodge & Chrysler minivans had taken out about half of their fleet. Having that knowledge well in advance should have allowed them to email or call me to prevent a very negative surprise at the rental counter on the day of my arrival. That would’ve allowed me to look for other options from other rental companies at the airport. The Alamo staff were quick and efficient, but I was disappointed I was not able to rent a car I had reserved. My return process was equally quick and convenient, and there were no additional charges applied. However, there was no thought of discounting a future rental or reducing the price of the vehicle I had rented for the inconvenience. I was met with when I arrived.

  Not sure why they would want me to review after a horrible experience. We shall see how they attempt to deal with it, then I will come back and update. Late night, rainy all week, wipers did not work properly, 47,000 mile Durango full of dog hair that my wife and daughter had to suffer in all week. And they only had one other car that was way too small to accommodate us. Totally unacceptable by anybody's standards...
