I’ve had ongoing issues with both the Rib Mountain and Plover locations regarding work performed on my vehicle, and the lack of communication and accountability throughout the process had been extremely frustrating.
At the Rib Mountain location, the drain plug to my oil pan was stripped during an oil change service. New bolts had to be ordered, but I never received a follow-up call. When I contacted them again myself, the new manager informed me they had a note sitting on the desk with my name and number the entire time, but nobody ever reached out. Eventually, they had me come in and installed the replacement bolts.
Later, I went to the Plover location for an oil change. During a separate visit to Subaru for a recall, I was informed that my oil pan had been dented and quoted over $1,000 for repairs. Since Plover was the last shop to service the vehicle, I contacted them about the issue, and they agreed to repair it.
On April 2, 2025, while my vehicle was at the Plover location, they broke my sway bar link. I was never contacted or informed directly, despite being the owner of the vehicle. I only found out because my brother’s girlfriend happened to answer a call at O’Reilly’s from Jiffy Lube requesting the replacement part. She contacted my brother, who then called the shop before picking up my vehicle for me while I was at work. That was how I learned additional damage had occurred.
Despite this, I still allowed them to complete the repair.
I picked my vehicle up on April 3, 2025.
April 4th, 2025 I immediately noticed a new sound that had never been present before. I waited to see if the sound would go away.
April 8th, 2025 I contacted the district manager, Richard, asking for the vehicle to be checked again to ensure everything had been properly reassembled. Richard stated he would personally double-check that everything had been torqued to spec after Curtis worked on it, and also mentioned that Curtis Zastrow had previously been a Subaru technician.
When I picked the vehicle up again on April 11, 2025, Curtis told me that “these things happen from time to time,” assured me the vehicle was safe to drive, and claimed the sound would eventually go away. As I left, he told me to “have a good life.”
The sound never went away. It stopped briefly for a few hours, then returned as a persistent ticking noise.
On May 14, 2025, I brought the vehicle back to Subaru. After another inspection, they found two bolts missing. Subaru corrected the issue and charged me for the repair.
That same day, I contacted Richard requesting reimbursement. His response was:
“I will submit it for approval and reimbursement. Can you please send me full name address? What ZIP Code for where the check would need to be sent to please.”
After that, I repeatedly had to follow up for updates:
• July 8, 2025:
“I get back from vacation tomorrow afternoon I will look into where it is at tomorrow.”
• July 26, 2025:
“I’m so sorry I didn’t realize I didn’t reply to your last text message. They said that it was being processed and it will be sent out on the next batch of checks that are cut. I will put it in my calendar to check in with them again on Monday for an update.”
• August 13, 2025:
“I will ask.”
By October 15, 2025, after months of being put off and receiving no reimbursement, I finally contacted corporate directly and provided every text message, receipt, date, and detail regarding the situation.
On October 16, 2025, Richard responded:
“Your check is being processed I will text you a screenshot when it is in the mail.”
October 20, 2025, check was mailed.
Overall, this experience involved repeated damage to my vehicle, poor communication, lack of transparency, failure to notify me about issues caused during repairs, and months of delays regarding reimbursement. I gave multiple opportunities for these issues to be resolved professionally, but the process became exhausting and unacceptable.

I like em'. More thorough than my other places and have good availability. Some services are a bit much, but not outstanding and worth it if you really don't have the time. You can see them work from the waiting room and I saw they used very good stuff. About $30 more than across the street from me at an auto shop but instantaneous and you see what they're doing. No appointment and you get the same result. For being in 15 minutes they checked everything well and gave good explanation.
