Extremely disappointed with Camping World Oshkosh. Our experience has been terrible from the purchase of our motorhome through service. We paid approximately $14,000 for an Assurant warranty that was represented to us as essentially bumper-to-bumper, only to find out that our leaking roof and leaking brake caliper aren’t covered. A Camping World service employee even told us, “I wish they wouldn’t sell the warranty the way they do, it doesn’t cover any of that.” Then we were charged $125 by service only to be told they couldn’t reproduce the roof leak and don’t have technicians to perform the chassis repair. We’ve escalated this to Camping World corporate and followed up multiple times without a meaningful response. We actually tried to undo the purchase shortly after buying the motorhome because the experience was already so bad, but our trade had already been sold. Based on our experience, I would not purchase another RV or extended warranty from Camping World.

The original salesperson had made an appointment to meet with us on a specific date and a specific time. We got there and the saleswoman didn't show up. However, Judi and her manager Mike jumped right in and showed us the camper that we were interested in, spent an enormous amount of time answering our questions, helping us figure out the financing, and went over and above what any salesperson should have had to do, but in the end, they made this experience a very positive one. In the end, we purchased the camper and are extremely happy with saleswoman Judi and the store manager, Mike.

We've never owned a camper of any sort and made an appointment to look at some smaller ones. The guy helping us was very excited to help us until we started to question if a camper was really a good idea for us. He asked us point blank if we made the appointment knowing we wouldn't buy one and got really rude after that. We told him we weren't sure which is why we made the appointment. I just can't get over how rude he became the moment he thought he wouldn't be making a sale. I also can't help but wonder how many people simply didn't move forward on one because of his poor attitude.

I recently answered an ad from Camping World (CW) to sell them my Motorhome RV. I was very skeptical but since I was already searching for a new RV and the trade in values I were received were way below the value of the RV, I filled out the form and submitted it. The following day I was contacted by Baily who made me an offer that exceeded the trade offers I was getting. Baily offered to set up an inspection at my nearest CW which is the Oshkosh WI location. Baily was extremely professional and helpful and set up an appointment to accommodate my schedule. My appointment was with Chad Jones. I can't say enough about how easy and stress free Chad made the whole process. The inspection was done during EAA so the dealership and their technician/inspectors were extremely busy but Chad kept me well informed of the status until it was finished. Chad made sure the buyers were informed of the motorhomes condition and many upgrades that were made to ensure I received the best offer possible. I honestly expected a low ball offer but it was actually a very fair offer. After signing the papers and leaving the motorhome, Chad continued to keep me informed as the loan payoff was completed, the lien was released, CW received the title, and final pay off check was Fed Exed to me. If you are planning to trade or sell your RV, I suggest giving Camping World of Oshkosh a try. You may be pleasantly surprised by the offer and how easy the process is.
