- SFsyed fahadOct 5, 20261.0had a Valvoline MaxLife oil change and a transmission fluid change done here. I had a $15 coupon for the oil change and a 20% off coupon for additional services, which included the transmission fluid service. I asked if both coupons could be applied, but the technician told me I could use only one. I also noticed an option to add another coupon on the screen, so I was confused when he said they couldn’t accept third-party coupons. In the end, only the 20% discount was applied to the transmission fluid service, and I didn’t receive the $15 oil change discount. The oil change was $89.99 before the coupon. I expected a clearer explanation of the coupon policy and a better experience. I was disappointed, especially since I had coupons for both services.
- PBPeter BrowneSep 10, 20261.0Routine oil change, car started smoking and failing to run within 5 blocks of leaving the shop. Turns out they overfilled my oil to the point where my car was shutting down to protect the engine. 3 hours later, I am back at the shop getting the oil changed again. After wasting half a work day due to their mistake, they tell me they can't provide refunds. Only "area managers" can approve refunds, because why would the people I directly gave my money to have the authority to refund me when they mess up a job? Maybe I'll follow up when I hear from an area manager in a few business days. I will say, I appreciate the location manager coming out to help resolve the issue roadside, but overall a pretty bad experience. Mistakes happen, but idiotic corporate policy that prevents location managers from issuing a simple $100 refund is enough for me to take my business elsewhere.
