- TMTom Matthews3 days ago1.0Today (10/12) I visited the 7440 W Brown Deer store #5267? I asked if I could get assistance returning unused light bulbs I purchased a couple days earlier. The store associate asked me if the package was opened and resealed. I replied yes but I didn't use them as I determined that the lamp carrier was defective and not my bulb and that the bulbs were never used. When I explained I didn't want to hang on to them because by the time I might need one I will have forgotten I have these and I will go out and buy new ones. Her response was "I don't need to know your story. I asked if Advanced Auto had a policy on returns of this nature with no response I asked if she was having a bad day or attitude. She loudly accused me of having an attitude. Then she tossed the bulbs on the counter in my direction. She had no name badge so I had to inquire what her name was. No response so I repeated the question and she responded with "JoJo". I asked if there was a manager in the store and she replied she was the manager. I questioned if there was anyone else in the store and she replied no and that she was alone in the store and walked deliberately to the back of the store while conversing with (?) I am disappointed with this treatment this supply house has been my destination stop for automotive needs. I feel that my treatment was racially motivated.

The desk should focus on phone calls and not their customers in the building. Was very proud to try proving that point. Happy to take my business elsewhere. Where there is respect. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
