- BSBill StewartJul 14, 20265.0So I called the S 43rd St yard and explained that my gf's 2014 with 162k miles A/C compressor was rattling pretty loud. It still worked though. A new compressor and clutch is $1500. Ace said they had a used one for $125. I appreciate they did not try to upsell anything. Might just buy the used one because I called my mechanic and he said it is a worn out compressor, but because the clutch still works, it is just the compressor. Great job diagnosing a very expensive repair by ACE Salvage and Two Guys Automotive. We will see how it turns out!
