  It was impossible to rent a oneway vehicle anywhere near Grandhaven / Grand Rapids, MI. I called a dozen locations with no luck. Some agents were very incompetent , trying to rent me a oneway between locations in MI. I had to repeat that I needed to leave MI & get to Minnesota. Very Strange. In the end I had to pay a private citizen to transport me 1 hour from Grandhaven MI to Ludington MI and board the S.S. Badger Ferry to Manitowac WI. It was there that I was finally able to rent a oneway vehicle to Duluth MN! Extremely frustrating !! I couldn’t believe that in the USA in 2026 it would be so difficult to rent a oneway vehicle. Literally 2 full days on the phone , horrible. In the end, the Manitowac WI location agent was the only agent able to help me!! The national call center agents were horrible & said nothing could be done. Thank you for your time! Dave

  This place is a great business to get a rental car from. I had the Nissan centra, and that car was really nice and clean too.

  Manitowac Enterprise was great. Friendly, professional, helpful. They even picked us up at the Badger and dropped us off after we returned the car. I will definitely be renting from them again when I take another vacation across Lake Michigan.

  This is the right place to go. It worked out so well. They can pick you up with ease right from the dock of the SS Badger and bring you back on your departure date. Extremely efficient and friendly workers. The car was good on gas, but slow (Mitsubishi Mirage) and was sometimes sketchy on the highway, but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We were able to visit Menominee, Mi, Milwaukee, and Two Rivers without issue.
