  When I arrived at the location, they were unable to locate the car. I waited at the location for almost an hour while it was located, washed etc. I was given a $30 credit for my time. 2 days into our trip, I was pulled over on the Pennsylvania Turnpike by a state trooper. The reason- our license plates didn’t match a registration and the registration we did find in the car were expired. Thankfully I had my paperwork in my email, and the state trooper was able to pull the VIN number and match it to an active Tennessee registration. Enterprise did not have the correct license plate on the vehicle. At any given time during our trip, we could have been pulled over again leading to some anxiety and an extra worry. 1 day after arriving at our destination, our car started displaying it needed an oil change. My husband checked the dipstick and it did appear slightly low. I attempted to call the Dane county airport enterprise location and it went straight to a call center. I tried to explain to the first two representatives that the car needed an oil change, we were in a destination that required a 4WD vehicle and no area enterprises had 4WD vehicles available due to everyone renting them for beach access. I talked at length with the first two representatives who did not listen to the situation. Finally after a third call, we were told we could have the Dane county airport location approve an oil change. After talking to Dylan, and him approving the oil change, we were able to resume our vacation. It did take time out of our vacation to find somewhere to schedule the oil change and it took several hours of calls/ waiting for calls. I wish there was a better process for this as it disrupt one of our days. We had no issues after the the oil change, the drive home, or the drop off at the airport. The staff at the Dane county airport were very apologetic and listened to what happened. Dylan attempted to make things right and his attentiveness would be the only reason I would consider using enterprise again. I would like to commend him for trying to make things right when so many things went wrong. At the end of the day, we did have a good vacation, we were able to use our rental car through the entire process as intended, but I’m taking the time to write this due to the fact that I think it’s necessary to have a system of checks and balances before sending a customer off with a car. Things could have gone worse on our traffic stop, there could have been issues with the car if we didn’t take action and get an oil change, and there could have been further traffic stops due to having the incorrect plates on the vehicle. I hope this is looked into further and there is a review to see possible steps that were missed so other renters don’t experience the same issues that we did.

  I am local and rent here frequently. Staff are always friendly, helpful and provide excellent customer service.

  We had a reservation w Hertz at the Madison airport. Apparently with regularity they run out of cars. Enterprise saved the day - thank you - we are Enterprise fans! Never again Hertz.
