  Absolutely disgraceful and sad customer service from Enterprise and Shaun (Shawn?). A close family member died, and I needed a truck with an eight-foot bed to transport some of her belongings back to my house in New Jersey. My entire trip to Wisconsin was premised on Enterprise’s representations that an eight-foot-bed truck would be available. Enterprise’s website showed eight-foot-bed trucks available at this location and so I made a reservation. In the days leading up to the reservation, I called Enterprise twice and both times I was told that an eight-foot-bed truck would be available. Relying on that, I booked my flight and flew out. I kid you not, less than an hour before I arrived at the airport, I was told there were no eight-foot-bed trucks available. Had Enterprise told me that at any point during the prior week, I could have made other arrangements. I was then told by Shaun, who was disgustingly rude, that they would bring a truck with an eight (8) foot bed from their trucking division. He confirmed this was not an issue. When I got to the airport, Shaun told me the truck was on its way. That was not true, and Shaun knowingly lied. Shortly thereafter, another employee came out and said that they could not rent out an eight-foot-bed truck which directly contradicted Shaun. When I explained that the website still showed them available (trucks with an eight (8) foot bed) at that location, that I had called Enterprise in the days leading up to the reservation, and that my family member’s burial was in an hour, Shaun said, “You don’t need to tell them anything, we’ve already heard their story.” He showed not even the slightest concern. He should not be in a customer-facing position. Since I did not have a car, I had no choice but to go to Hertz, which cost me additional money and caused needless stress during an already awful trip. Having been an Enterprise customer for several years, it was truly egregious to be treated this way. I detrimentally relied on Enterprise’s website and Shaun’s representations, and it ended up costing me more money. My family will never use Enterprise again. This was truly shameful.
