- BOB OJun 28, 20265.0I had a wonderful experience at Silver Lake. The service advisors listen to your concerns and review the information to make sure it's correct. They also call or message you with updates as they get them so that you are not wondering about the progress of the repair. The techs have a "get it right the first time" mentality and will keep digging into the problem until they will figure it out. On top of that, they have loaner vehicles that you can get if one is available so you won't have to worry about being stuck unable to get to work. If you have had bad or questionable experiences with other repair shops, give Silver Lake a chance.
- ADA DJun 17, 20261.0$260 to diagnose (car dealer is $190, small shops $0 to $150), then quoted close to $700 to change spark plugs(they're new), was told by two other shops i needed fuel injectors. I told silverlake this they told me they need to replace the spark plugs as the first step (seemed like expensive guess work). I told them they're new already (they didn't care) . $300 per hour for labor and $35 per spark plug. Spark plugs from the car dealer are $8.99 each. I don't get why there pricing is so much higher than the car dealer. The labor charge is outrageous. Average in my area is $150-$200 per hour. They're very courteous but eye gouging prices just can't be justified.
- EMEmma MunterJun 11, 20261.0I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Upon pickup they informed me I needed a new wheel bearing and that my car sounded like an airplane? They quoted me $1100 (including my oil change and tire rotation). I took my car to get a second opinion and thankfully the other location diagnosed my car correctly. I was informed that Silver Lake wasn't truthful, whether that was intentional or unintentional is up for debate. I'd be careful with any problems or new parts they try to sell you... It doesn't seem as though they thoroughly investigate.
