  It was my first time going there, even though I live just 2 minutes away. I went for a flat tire service. The people are really nice and welcoming. I told them about my flat tire, and they checked it out and started working on it. They found a nail and said they would fix it. I waited for about 30 minutes, had my coffee, and it was done. No hassle, no confusion, no endless questions. It was a smooth and worry-free experience.

  Would absolutely not recommend! I had a dead battery in my Volkswagen Tiguan. We had to have it towed and Silver Lake was closest to our home. I checked several times to make sure they could replace a Volkswagen battery as I have had issues with that in the past. They assured me that they could. After replacing the battery and running an additional test, I was informed that my alternator was failing and I needed to replace it. This came at a big expense. We decided to get a second opinion at a Volkswagen dealership to make sure before replacing it. At VW we were told that the alternator was perfectly fine and that the battery was not programmed correctly for my Volkswagen. We then had to pay for them to program the battery correctly. Very frustrating as I had double checked with Silver Lake before having it towed there to begin with. So we paid an additional fee at the VW dealership in addition to what we had already paid at Silver Lake. When I called and spoke with Ben about this issue he offered to reimburse me for the additional expense. I emailed him a copy of the receipt and then received no response back. Will not be going back and would not recommend.

  I'm very selective about who works on my vehicles and prefer to do my own maintenance and work. I had a vibration issue that three other shops looked at — two tried to balance the tires, and another told me I needed $4,000 worth of front-end work that turned out not to be true. I decided to give Silver Lake a try based on their high Google rating. My first impressions were excellent. The shop and waiting area are immaculate, which speaks volumes about how they operate. They're also good listeners and asked plenty of questions to clarify the issues I was having. After the work was complete, what really set them apart from the competition was that they asked if I'd ride along with one of their mechanics to verify the repair was done to my satisfaction — and it absolutely was. As it turns out, the shop that wanted $4,000 to fix the front end — after I'd already spent $300 on a road force balance — never actually balanced the tires. Silver Lake balanced all four, and the vibration was gone. For the work I won't do myself, I'll bring all my vehicles to Silver Lake Auto and Tire Center of Brookfield.

  Discovered a screw in my tire late afternoon. I called them and they told me to stop in. They had my car up on the hoist within 10 minutes. Pulled the screw and plugged the tire all within 30 minutes of when I arrived. He tried to tell me it was complimentary but I wasn’t having it. Gave them a tip and I was on my way. You just don’t find that kind of hometown customer service anymore…except at Silver Lake Auto. Hope I don’t need to but if I ever need any other service I won’t hesitate to see them, you shouldn’t either.

  Shout-out to Cameron and Josh at the Silver Lake-Brookfield Bluemound location. I brought in a used car I was considering buying for a pre-purchase inspection. The technician who did the inspection was thorough; took his time with it. Cameron and Josh provided excellent customer service. They answered all my questions (I did an AI deep dive into the car I was considering), and struck me as knowledgeable and honest professionals.
