  I’m very disappointed with my experience at AutoZone this morning. There were two employees when I went in. I came in because my dashboard was showing a warning that my stop/start system was unavailable. After doing research on my vehicle, I knew the auxiliary battery is connected to that system, so I specifically asked for both batteries to be checked. The employee who helped me only checked the main battery and insisted my car did not have an auxiliary battery. He even compared my vehicle to his sister’s completely different car saying she has a stop/start system but doesn’t have an auxiliary battery instead of actually taking the time to properly inspect mine. My vehicle DOES have an auxiliary battery, which I knew from the start and it is located right next to the main battery. It is a small battery but clearly visible. I left feeling extremely frustrated and dismissed because it felt like my concerns were not being taken seriously. I only asked for my batteries to be checked something so simple so if my auxiliary battery was dying I could’ve bought one and just had my brother put it in so I wouldn’t have to spend thousands of money going into the Jeep dealership, so I then went to another mechanic, and right away they acknowledged my concern without hesitation they never questioned if I had or didn’t have an auxiliary battery they new exactly what to look for they were able to help me and they understood the issue. Customers should be listened to, especially when they are trying to explain concerns about their own vehicle. I came in simply asking for help and left very disappointed with the lack of attention and care.

  I looked on their website, which said they had a toolkit in stock and for sale. Based on previous negative experiences I called ahead to confirm that the website was accurate. They confirmed that they had four toolkits in stock. What they did not mention was that all four were used loaner toolkits. Edit: AutoZone requested I contact them, as seen in the response to this review. I sent them an email on 03-19-2026. As of 04-24-2026 they have taken no further action that I know of, outside of telling me the information reflected in my update below. Update: According to their customer service, when their website says "In Store Pickup, Ready Today, Free" it doesn't mean it literally - it means it's an item they typically stock in their remote fulfillment warehouse.
