  I made a reservation for a rental car that I was supposed to pick up at 5:30 PM. I called at 3:00 PM to see if I could pick up the car earlier, but they told me there were no cars available. Later, I called customer service, and they told me that there were actually a couple of cars available. So I made a new reservation, and it looks like I was able to get a car earlier.

  Reservation Was Not Honored Very disappointing experience😞 About two weeks before our family trip, I called the Tacoma Enterprise location and specifically asked for an 8-seat SUV because we had 8 people traveling. I confirmed multiple times that the vehicle would seat eight, and I was told a Ford Expedition Max was available. Based on that confirmation, I made the reservation. On pickup day (July 18 at 9:00 AM), both families had taken time off work, prepared food, packed everything, and arrived early. Instead of the Expedition Max, we were given a Jeep Wagoneer, and the employee insisted it had 8 seats. I knew it only had 7, and after checking, he admitted I was right. Then we were told they didn’t have any 8-seat SUV at all. Instead of taking responsibility, the employee blamed Enterprise’s customer service and said I should have called the local office. The problem is, I did call the Tacoma location, and they were the ones who confirmed the 8-seat vehicle. The only alternative offered was a 15-passenger van, which was not an acceptable replacement for the family SUV we had reserved. Speaking with the manager was also disappointing, as there was very little empathy or effort to make things right. This is also the second time our group has had the same issue at this location. A few years ago, a reserved 7-seat SUV was also unavailable, and a passenger van was offered instead. I understand vehicles can become unavailable, but confirming a vehicle that isn’t actually available and informing customers only after they arrive is unacceptable. A reservation should mean something, especially when families plan vacations, take time off work, and make arrangements based on it. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location.
