Awesome experience once again with my usual service rep Tammy. An experienced tech came to my home to perform 2 recall services and the scheduled oil change that comes free with purchase. I religiously change my oil every 5k miles so that’s 12 oil changes I’ve gotten 100% free! The only thing I’m charged for is $15 to rotate my tires which I do every time and my original tires lasted 4 years and 60k miles! Very happy with the purchase and ownership experience of my 2022 F-150 Powerboost. It has been an awesome truck, the only small issues I’ve had were taken care of by the lifetime power train warranty that the dealer also provided as an added perk. When I replace my truck one day it will 100% be at Sunset Ford. Thank you!

I’m truly blessed to have this dealer down the road from me. I had a problem with my 2016 F-150 and the service writer Scott and the Service manager Justin took care of me like family. These guys do their jobs with respect and do what they say. I had a check engine light pop up after an exhaust repair and Scott answered the phone on a Saturday and squeezed me in on Monday. When I pulled up Justin came out and personally drove my truck back to get looked at. Within 15 minutes the problem was fixed and I was back on the road. These guys have won my business for life.

It really bums me out to write this review because my actual car-buying experience was great at first. I paid for my vehicle outright, so the process was simple, and the salesperson I worked with was respectful and professional. My boyfriend came with me, and unlike experiences I’ve had at other dealerships, the salesperson spoke directly to me instead of directing everything at him. I genuinely appreciated that. Unfortunately, my experience after purchasing the car has completely changed my opinion of this dealership. When I first saw the vehicle on the lot, one of the tires was flat. I was told it would be repaired or replaced before I took the car home. After waiting two days for the repair, I drove the car home and within another two days the same tire started going flat again, which honestly makes me question whether it was ever actually fixed or if air was simply added to the tire. When I brought the vehicle back for service, the service writer I dealt with acted like I was inconveniencing him simply for showing up, despite the fact that I had an appointment and followed the proper process. I tried to brush it off because everyone can have a bad day. The bigger issue happened during my first oil change. When I purchased the vehicle, I was told my oil changes would be covered for as long as I owned the car. The dealership even picked up my vehicle for the appointment, but then I received a call saying it would cost $120. When I questioned why, I was suddenly told that benefit only applies to newer vehicles and that my car “wasn’t new enough.” That condition was never mentioned when I bought the vehicle. I asked to speak with the service manager because I wanted clarification on why I was told one thing at purchase and something completely different afterward. Instead of receiving a clear explanation, I felt dismissed. I had seen another review from a woman describing a similar experience, and that the situation made me feel like I wasn’t being taken seriously. The service manager responded by saying, “It’s not 1940 anymore, kid, that’s not how the world works.” As a woman in my 30s, I did not appreciate being called “kid,” nor did I appreciate the dismissive tone instead of simply addressing the issue professionally. I was ultimately told they would cover the oil change “this one time” and that the sales manager would contact me to discuss the misunderstanding. This happened on a Friday. After receiving no call, I left a voicemail the following Tuesday. It has now been two weeks with no response at all. That’s the most disappointing part of this experience. The dealership was attentive and accommodating when they were making the sale, but once the transaction was complete, the customer service completely changed.

Had a really great experience at Sunset Ford getting my Bronco. Andy was responsive, helpful, and always quick to answer any questions I had throughout the whole process, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. I’m especially grateful that the entire experience was low pressure and never felt pushy, which made a huge difference. Jordan also stepped in and helped get everything finalized and made sure the whole deal got done smoothly. I really appreciated how professional and helpful they both were. Great customer service all around, and I’d definitely recommend Sunset Ford to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience.

Late last year, I was looking for an F350 dually to tow my 5th wheel trailer. Sunset Ford had the exact trim level and color I was looking for. The sales experience was as good as can be expected, since I came to the dealership after driving nearly 90 miles, without an appointment. Fast forward 6 months and 4000 miles later, and trouble began. The front tires were wearing poorly and I took the truck into my local dealership to have the alignment checked. My dealer found the rear axle was out of alignment, by a fair amount. They also found that it appeared there had been a service bed installed on the truck at some point and the rear axle had been adjusted to compensate for the weight. Once the stock bed was replaced on the truck, the rear axle was never put back into spec. The cost to remedy the axle issue was over $1800. There was no remedy through the base warranty or extended warranty. I called Sunset Ford to ask if there was something they would do to help my situation. I was told since the truck wasn't there, they wouldn't help me. There was no options or alternatives. I would have to drive two hours, drop off the truck, then find a way to get home again, only to have to do it again when I picked up the truck. They wouldn't help out with the cost of me having the work done at the dealership near me either. I am truly disappointed with the lack service with Sunset Ford. I would not recommend buying from them unless you live locally and have the extra time in your life to travel to Sumner for repairs.
