Back in 1920, Sunset Chevrolet got its start as a small gas station in Sumner, Washington selling only one or two cars a month. As the state’s oldest Chevrolet Dealership, we know a thing or two about Chevrolets. From Chevrolet sales, to our award-winning Service Department, Sunset Chevrolet is a leader in automotive care. For the past 15 years we have been the #1 Volume Chevrolet Dealership in Washington, the recipient of multiple of Chevrolet’s Mark of Excellence Awards and we were even featured in Dealer Magazine’s August 2018 issue for being an industry leader providing our owners with added value. We include things like Warranty Protection For Life and Oil Changes For Life on all qualifying vehicles. These Sunset Exclusives have saved owners THOUSANDS down the road. Needless to say, we have come a long way from our humble beginnings, and we are proud to not only be a leader in sales, but in customer retention as well. The support we get from our community is overwhelming, and we would not be where we are today if it was not for them. That is why Sunset Chevrolet seeks to give back at every opportunity we can by sponsoring events like Sumner’s Classy Chassis, Relay For Life, Come Walk With Me and Sumner High School’s Stadium to name a few. By choosing Sunset you supporting your local community and a family owned business that has been around for nearly 100 years. You just get more at Sunset, and people DO like that.
Our salesman Josh wasn’t like a salesman at all. He walked us through the process, found a truck that fit my budget and my needs. He was down to earth, not pushy at all and just wanted me to get what I came there for even though I was just looking. Even though it was the 4th of July he wasn’t irritated with dealing with us. He was so kind and honest that we ended up purchasing 2 vehicles! Yes 2! Dom the finance guy was funny and a pleasure to deal with. Wales is through the contracts and made sure we understood every aspect of the agreement. I always wanted to buy a car/truck from Sunset and now I have! I found my dealership that I will always have. My next purchase will definitely be from Sunset Chevrolet! Thanks Josh!!

These people from the sales person to signing papers were the most helpful in the process of buying my car. They did everything to make it affordable, they were not pushy. They were courteous. It's been a while since I've been to the car dealership and these are the best I've ever dealt with in the past 45 years since I purchased vehicles in the past. Thanks guys I appreciate you all

I recently bought a 2018 Chevy truck from Sunset Cheverolet in Sumner. Immediately within days the check engine light came on and the truck went in to "limp mode". I was in Idaho and took it to a Chevy dealership who was able to provide me the error codes and history reports. Fortunately, the dealership said the truck was still drivable but would continue to randomly go into limp mode and that I should take it back to Sunset Cheverolet.
What a nightmare dealing with these people.
I called/text the sales rep Micheal Cain who has been absolutely useless and won't return phone calls, emails or texts. To make matters worse, no word/email/text from the sales manager either.
I did take the vehicle in and spoke to Lorenzo in Service. He immediately chastised and judged me for not buying an extended warranty. He said "being cheap might save you money but next time you better buy the warranty". REALLY? CHEAP? I paid 47K for a truck and you want me to pay 8k more for a warranty? I digress. Lorenzo said he would run the analysis and get the error codes, clean the sensor and reboot the system. He said he would have an answer later that day. Nothing....I text him for an update the next day, nothing....do you see a company culture here? Finally he calls back a couple days later (after I had to rent a tuck to do my job) and says they checked it & it is an electronic issue and rebooted the syste.. I picked up the truck and two days later same thing happened all over again. I called Lorenzo and he said "there is nothing else I can do, it is a sales/management issue now". He was also sarcastic and reiterated I should have gotten the warranty.
Now it's crickets! No responses, Nothing.
It is clear based on the info I've collected they knew the issue before I bought it and now they've gone silent. Now I know why they wouldn't let me drive it off the lot they day I bought it. Michael Cain & his boss said it needed to be detailed & inspected and that I could pick it up in 5 days. I Did and 2 days later the truck starts acting up.
Lastly, the Sunset Motors slogan is "At Sunset you just get more and people like that!"
People also like a fair deal and treated with respect. Don't spend money there unless you want this kind of misery!
Stay tuned, I will update everyone.
UPDATE 7/6/26 Eric Guiberson, Used Car Sales Manager reached out to me last Wednesday to discuss. Eric asked me to bring the truck in so they could figure out the problem. Eric also provided me with a loaner truck which I appreciate because it allows me to get my work done. I dropped off my Truck on Thursday and have yet to hear the diagnosis. (In all fairness it was the 4th of July weekend so not too upset). I recieved a response today from the owner stating they are working on it, which I also appreciate. I will wait on the diagnosis & post an update when and if they make it right.
Keeping my fingers crossed as I have a huge family reunion to attend next week in Idaho & nothing to pull my trailer.

I brought my vehicle in for a oil change. Which went fine. I was in and out of there in about an hour. However I requested some work to be done on my truck which is a diesel and I cannot get in until the 17th of july. Which is really bad.

I scheduled recall fix and oil change today. They said it will take 4 hours. 2 hours later service department called me car is done. We picked up car and went home. My husband was looking paperwork from service department and noticed they didn’t do any recall work. (Paper said parts in back order. ). When they called my husband saying “car is ready”, they never mentioned about recall fix is not done. When we get back to you shop they never mentioned about recall fix wasn’t done. When my husband called and talked with department they said the didn’t do recall fix we need re schedule when parts get there. We didn’t schedule oil change today if your service department can’t do recall fix. Now my husband has to make another appointment when parts is ready.. Today’s trip was wasted. My husband doesn’t want to drive a car until bolts are replaced. Service department should not take appointment until parts is ready to do the work.
