I was visiting from Canada on a camping trip towing a travel trailer, when my tow vehicle overheated and broke down in Spokane, despite it being less than 45 minutes before close, I was able to get a last minute truck rental to pull my camper the rest of the way to the Gorge.
I have a friend who works for Enterprise who sent me a link for a friends & family discount, unfortunately the booking platform for the discount would not allow me to reserve a same day rental within an hour, so I called the local truck rental directly.
When I first called the Spokane Truck location, I spoke to Alondra, who gave me a quote, but before I could complete the booking had to hang up and call back because I was dealing with the tow of my vehicle.
When I called back Enterprise they must have been busy because I believe my call got bumped to a central call center who didn't know anything about my quote and told me the price would be more than double what I was originally quoted. Because it was so late in the day I had no time to look intoother options, and accepted the quote, booked the truck, and got in an Uber to pick up the truck.
While I was on the way I got a call from Alondra who saw my booking, and told me that she didn't know why the price went up so much and told me that when I arrived she would honour the original quote.
When I got there and was filling out all the paperwork Alondra noticed how stressed I was and offered me a bottle of water while she finished the reservation, and brought the truck around for me.
When my vehicle was repaired I returned to Enterprise, moved my trailer from the rental truck to my vehicle in their lot, and gave them the keys, they allowed me to not actually check the vehicle in and end the rental until I was able to make sure my own vehicle still had no issues, and then when they completed the check-in the next day refunded the CDW fees for the remaining days left in my 1 week rental.
