- AMAmy MeyerApr 29, 20191.0Buyers beware! The salesman told us that all the rust on the INSIDE of the Subaru we test drove was because Subarus don't do well in inclement weather. Priced comparably to any other make and model in prime condition, the car didn't make it to the mechanic before all the warning lights came on. EDIT: We did not purchase the car because it couldn't make it to the mechanic's place without warning lights. This is why they don't have a customer with my name in their records. We just couldn't believe that a salesman would try to pass off rust on the interior of the car by saying Subarus don't do well in inclement weather. After the warning light came on, my husband returned the car and alerted the dealership. In retrospect, we had no business pursuing a car with interior rust. I'm not sure why we tried to get it in for a pre-sale inspection.
