I scheduled the service online, the guy came to my place of work for the repair. Full windshield replacement. After the service was completed the technician told me he had to use a hammer to get my windshield out. At first, I thought he was joking. I took my keys back and the tech left, I noticed immediately there was a ton of glass on the ground in the parking lot, and when I opened the doors to my vehicle there was shards of glass all over my seats, the dashboard, the cupholders, and on the floor rendering it essentially undrivable without protection on the seats to protect my legs and rear end. I ended up cutting my finger on shards of glass that fell out of my steering wheel. I called customer service to inquire if this was a part of the “ Safelight experience”, which it wasn’t. The customer service representative couldn’t actually reach the shop in my area and I was on hold for 15 minutes before she told me they would send them an email and the manager on site would reach out. After attempting to drive my vehicle, I realized that I actually couldn’t and I called again, This time I was put through to the manager on duty, who asked me if I wanted the same tech to come out and do a cleanup to which I declined because he did such a poor job initially and I’m just a girl I didn’t wanna have to interact with him again on my own. To rectify the issue my next option was to drive it to the shop which was way out of the way. I brought it. The service took about a half hour, car was pretty clean, but after I hit the road more glass fell out of the dashboard, covering my feet and my ankles, and it was stuck in my shoes. I brought it back for a second cleaning, Which took an additional 20 minutes. The manager did his best. I did not yell or fight, because I know it wasn’t his fault. They replaced my windshield wipers for free and gave me free glass cleaner, but at the end of the day I still don’t feel that rectified the situation. I spent more than $300 on this service and it took me two hours to actually get the vehicle cleaned afterwards, Including travel time back-and-forth. There is STILL glass falling out of my dashboard and it’s been 3 days. It’s stuck in my shoes. It’s under my mats. It’s in the crevices of my seats. It’s near my car seat buckle. It’s in the air vents! It’s crazy! This whole experience was kind of tragic in a way, and I’m beyond displeased with how they chose to rectify it and how bad the glass still is even after two cleanings by the manager in the shop. After the second visit, the manager did give me his business card and his personal number and told me that I could come back to have it cleaned again anytime. I haven’t brought it back for a third cleaning yet just because I’m tired of driving out there and dealing with the mess that is their fault and they can’t seem to fix it. I was not offered any form of refund, partial or whole for the inconvenience or the poor cleanup on site and I’m overall disappointed with my interaction with Safelite. Again, manager was very very kind and understanding, and the team that helped the manager with the cleanup were all very remorseful. This leads me to believe it was a one-off interaction with the company, but either way unbelievably disappointing and frustrating. New windshield looks great, so at least I have that.

Safelite sent me tons of reminders that they were coming out this morning to replace my windshield. Then they called me this morning to tell me that they were cancelling as the windshield they ordered had a bunch of cracks. Nothing like the last minute kid! I have appointments to get the windshield tinted next week, as well as a packed week altogether. I made the appt for a Saturday morning so I'd be home with no interruptions. Thanks a lot Safelite!
NOTE FOR SAFELITE MANAGER: Please kindly tell your people NOT to say "I completely understand your frustration." That's like my pulling you over, writing you a ticket and then telling you "Have a nice day..."
The kid was polite, but didn't seem to care at all, was monotone, and simply told me their front office last would call me soon to reschedule. The level of customer service at Safelite is a joke!

The windshield installer was outstanding. He arrived on schedule and completed the Installation within the timeframe given when we ordered the installation. I highly recommend Safelite. I called for an appointment. We set a time and place and the met all expectations. He was prompt, friendly, and had my car windshield replaced in under an hour. Way cheaper than the big chain shops and much better service!"

The workmanship they did deserves a five-star The reason I'm giving them four stars is because a technician called and canceled my appointment and I needed the car Friday night for the dragstrip and the appointment was Thursday morning I got the window replaced Saturday afternoon

Let’s see, they broke four pieces of molding, didn’t say anything and they flew off driving 25 mph. If that weren’t enough, they needed to “recalibrate” the onboard software. Took it back, sat in the lobby for more than an hour on a “just a couple minutes” job. No molding repaired “have to order the pieces” and want me to come back out. For the third time. I bought the four pieces of molding and it was over $500 and it’s not painted, it’ll be another $300 for paint and $200 for installation. The recalibration failed, I’ll have to take it to the dealer for another $300. My deductible was $500, I’m into their damage for $1,300 and counting!
