  We've used Valvoline from coast to coast and find them consistent across the nation - efficient and polite. This Shelton store met all our expectations.

  2 stars instead of 1 because the man with red hair was kind and seemed like the only one working with any empathy for our situation. I pulled into the right lane, they then had me move to the left lane. Well, the line I had been in on the right was moving quickly and we were stuck in the left lane behind 2 giant trucks for over an hour. Car after car was coming after and getting out before we even began. My husband spoke up that it was frustrating although we understood the nature of how the drive up works, but we felt we deserved to be next at this point. So the sweet man with the red curly hair asked cars politely to back up so we could move over to be in the faster lane. Of course, the truck from the other lane finished and a new car pulls right up. It was maddening. So I was upset, but kind. I asked for the manager and cried through my frustrations about what had happened. Also, the team kept asking about putting air in my tires, I would say yes, and then they would walk away and not do it. So I had to ask finally for it because they kept asking and not doing it. Manager gave me some coupons to use on future visits and gave me 20% off for this visit. Frustrating thing was I had a $20 off coupon I brought that I couldn't use on top of the discount they gave me. So really, I felt nothing was done for what happened because I didn't end up saving any more money than if I had used my own coupon. I could also tell the man at the computer was irritated with me. He was kind, but short and I knew it was because I had spoken up and was upset. This made it feel like *I* was somehow the problem even though this was obviously just not handled right to begin with. Just because I was upset, I was never disrespectful though, and the way it was handled was underwhelming. I felt more of a discount should have been applied to this visit, I don't need future coupons. I usually only give good reviews, this one was frustrating to write but I felt compelled to share my experience.

  I have been going to "Valvoline" for years now and never once have I had a bad visit. I drive a lot for work and have to get my oils changed every 2 months at most.

  Service was excellent. The price not so much. I paid $102.00 and that was with a $15 coupon.

  The technicians did an excellent job! They are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and thorough. One technician went the extra mile for me when he found a mouse nest on top of a filter. He cleaned it for me.
