  I was minding my business pumping gas and threw away a McDonald’s bag. The cashier, Soo, came outside while on the phone and loudly said, “He put a whole brown bag in the trash.” Usually our interactions are pleasant, so I finished pumping, went inside, and spoke calmly. I told her I heard what she said and simply asked for an apology for speaking about a customer within earshot. She became defensive, denied it at first, then admitted she was talking about the bag I threw away to someone else. Her argument was that she wasn’t talking to me, just about me. She then raised her voice and said, “I’m not going to apologize.” So because she thought I didn’t hear her, there’s no need for accountability? You’re at work. You don’t speak about customers like that in front of them, lowering vibrations. If you hate your job and/or people, quit.

  Getting to the pumps is a bit inconvenient because there is no direct access from Rainier Avenue South. I have never experienced a waiting line to get to the pumps. There is a very small convenience store. There are no rest rooms. The credit/debt card tire air pump rarely works and is a pain when it does. The prices are average. I give it a four because of its inconvenient access, no restrooms and the closet sized convenience store.

  Air tire machine is busted- let out air instead of filling the tires.
