    Terrible service received by SIXT rental at the seatac airport. I booked my rental through Expedia. When we arrived at the check in booth our credit cards were not being accepted. We were sent downstairs to the manager where we tried our cards again with no luck- after calling friends and family trying multiple cards only to find out hours later by the employees instead of telling us right away that they did not accept Apple Pay only the physical credit card. In the confirmation email sent it does not state the physical credit card is needed it only states “credit or debit in the renters name” the manager was extremely un empathetic and had no interest in providing us a solution. Fast forward I contact Expedia who contacts SIXT to provide a refund considering we never received our rental but we were charged 202$. SIXT refuses to refund us because “we were marked as a no show” even though we did arrive. And then SIXT proceeds to tell me I will not receive a refund because I didn’t “present a credit card” when I infact did present a credit card via Apple Pay. Left us having to book an over priced hotel for the night near the airport and use a better rental company. Terrible service

    0 stars if I could for this location. Our rental was booked as an add-on through our flight- meaning we did NOT receive the specific conditions for this rental company separately nor at all. When trying to pick up our PRE-PAID car, we were denied because their point of sale system wouldn’t accept our Canadian cards for the deposit. The “manager” had no interest in trying to resolve the issue and unbeknownst to us; marked us as a “no-show”. While trying to get a refund that information was given to us. Because of that we may not have our money returned. We left by taxi and had to scramble for another vehicle which took until the next day. My advice? Use ANY other company/location than this one.

    We booked a car rental with Sixt in Seattle through Expedia. We were picking it up the same day. Their website said a Chevy Blazer or similar was available. That is what we chose. When we arrived a short time later we were told that type of vehicle was not available and only an upgraded vehicle was available. I said we could use a smaller car because it was just 2 of us. The woman just kept pushing the upgrade that we would have to pay for. We should have canceled and walked right to one of the other car rental companies but we ended up paying double what we originally booked. I’ve never had to pay extra when the rental company only had the upgraded vehicles available. If a car type is available on their website, I expect it to be available when we arrive. I feel this was a classic bait and switch. The rest of the process went smoothly.

    WARNING - AVOID. Terrible rental car experience with zero customer service and accountability. I originally decided to work with Sixt because of the nicer cars they have “available”. When I get there of course they don’t have the car I wanted and did a bait and switch. The car I rented also had damage on it and the check engine light kept coming on. I asked Sixt about it and they did not want to acknowledge it. Upon returning, they say to just leave the car since there’s nobody to help or walk through the car with you. This is where the scam starts. They will reach out to you weeks later with bogus claims that you damaged the car. It’s impossible to get a hold of their claims departments and they will take months to respond to emails. On top of that, they will charge you for a ridiculous admin fees that nobody could ever explain what they were for. If you do a simple google search, this is way too common with Sixt and it seems like it’s normal practice. Clearly they do not fix any of their damages because the rental I received had damage on it. Seems like this is just another revenue stream. I ended up paying just to avoid this headache and it’s not worth it. Go with another company!

    If you leave anything in a rental car at this location, don't expect to get it back. We left an iPad in our rental car two weeks ago. An employee from this branch called and confirmed she had found it. Since then, the branch has been completely non-responsive despite repeated emails, calls, and attempts to contact the employee who confirmed possession of the item. We fully accept responsibility for leaving the iPad behind. What is unacceptable is that the item was found, confirmed, and then effectively disappeared with no follow-up, no return instructions, and no accountability from this location. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and reflects very poorly on how this branch handles found property and customer service in general.
