I just moved to the Sumner area from Federal Way. The Federal Way location was my main shop for over 23 years. I was always treated like I was welcomed and my problems were heard, then addressed. I have only been to the downtown Puyallup location twice. The first to get air in my tire, the same tires I purchased from the Federal Way store. The first person who attempted to help was grouchy, seemed irritated and reluctant to help. When the compressor was not working for him, he sent another team member to help me. He was much nicer which made me come back for a tire rotation and to check for punctures.
I scheduled an appointment for a tire rotation on a Saturday at 7am. I arrived at 6:40am. The store lights didn't turn on until 7:01am. The staff did not seem prepared for the morning. When the person checking me in couldn't find my name, they asked me if I made an appointment online. I said no, I spoke with someone. Then they responded in defense and proceeded to explain that there are two places to check and that's why he asked. In my mind, I'm thinking...if you don't see me in one, just check the other (As a Data Sciencentist student, I'm thinking, get a better system that auto-populates your online appointments). This would be less embarrassing to the customer, especially when others can hear the conversation.
When I picked up my vehicle, the center console was left wide opened and stuck in that position. It took a few minutes of some gentle movements to close it. I realized that they were looking for the locking lug nuts for my wheels. But they were locked in the glove box. I never got a call asking where the were, or a mention of it. I'm assuming some stranger was just rummaging through my things, carelessly looking for lug nuts. I'm not sure if my rotation ever happened, or whether they checked for nails or screws that I specifically requested. The paper they gave me, says they did it but that could have been fabricated since it's not a chargeable service.
It was a weirdly disappointing visit. I didn't feel welcomed. With a lot of people needing work these days, surely this location should find a team that brings back their customers, not deflect them. I work close by. I live in the area, and have close ties to small businesses in close proximity of this shop, but I'd rather drive to Federal Way to feel respected and welcomed.
I have a older vehicle that I had the front suspension all redone and was referred to les schwab for a alignment by the local shop. They had my vehicle for half the day and then said they could not do a alignment because they did not work on the vehicle....Waste of time and if you are looking for a alignment shop definitely look somewhere else. I would also like to note that my vehicle was taken to another shop right after I left and it was aligned with no issues what so ever. I would suggest shopping around

So bought new tires here a just before last winter, downtown puyallup location, 2025, since I have been in a few times for my annual rotation, everytime, stripped lug, oh its because its a subaru, $100+ bucks everytime, decided to go to a different les schwab this time, the one on canyon, guy comes right in, where did you go last time, told him les schwab downtown puyallup, he stated the lugs were way over tightened, stripped again. My last tires i got from discount, never one issue. I was living out of state, no les schwab there. So anyway, these guys on canyon had them out and replaced very quick, had to wait over an hour at the other store and no charge, guy said it happen while we had your car its on us. I will not and highly recommend staying away from the downtown puyallup store.

Decided to get my oil changed at Les Schwab as this is a new service they are providing. Timely and they also rotated my tires, filled wiper fluid, checked brakes, etc. Very pleased. Took about 90 minutes and cost less than the dealership so I will be back next oil change.
