  I came in today for a a sn ple oil change that should have taken 20 min. That's the only reason I have been coming here for a couple years, because they are supposed to be quick. There were 2 cars in one line and one in the other so naturally I got behind the single car. They were talking to be for some time while I was waiting here, but never bothered to tell me the car I got behind was getting a transmission service that takes over an hour. After I had been waiting a half hour another car came and got in back of the other line. That line ended up getting through before the single car in front of me, but they just let that guy who had only been waiting 10 min go in front of me who had been waiting almost an hour. I gave up and just left. Transparency is important, people come here because it is supposed to be quick and easy. If there is somebody getting services that take longer than that 20 min they should be informing cars who get behind them. I filed a complaint with corporate and they seemed to think giving me a 50 % off coupon would make up for this screw up. After how much time I've wasted today and how I've been going there for a couple years they should be giving me more than that to make up for the amount of time they wasted. After making me wait 3 times longer than their advertised time, I should not have to pay for this oil change at all. That is literally the only thing that would make things right. I will never be back to valvoline and I recommene anybody reading this to go anywhere else instead. Big o tires next door requires an appointment and it takes them 45 min, but that is less than the time I wasted today without even getting my oil change. I really think they need to change their advertising cuz taking over triple their advertised time is absolutely unacceptable and it is false advertising. Now I still need to deal with an oil change somewhere else, but this place seems to hire incompetent people to work for them. I really hope I don't blow a piston in the meantime. They have permanently lost a customer today. Congratulations valvoline.

  Always very courteous and professional. Went to the Smokey Point location for convenience, but am sitting in the bay in Lake Stevens having my oil changed because it's always a positive experience here

  The workers Jesse and Nehemiah were great! They were prompt, personable and professional. The store manager Eric was also great when he came to support a question Nehemiah had. He gave him the information, checked in with me and seemed to really care that his employee was trained properly.

  If I were you, I would absolutely steer clear away from this particular Valvoline. A bunch of young employees not paying attention which resulted in a loss of a car. It was my girlfriend’s Subaru Impreza that had no existing issues until it left the Lake Stevens Valvoline a few days after an oil & differential change. Check engine lights, over heating, fluids not at the manufacturers requirement and much more. They had me start the car before the air box was latched down all the way. I had Eric (the manager) come check the car out. He asked if he could test drive the car to see what was going on, and not even 2 seconds into driving, he drives over a curb like the idiot he is and didn't even apologize for it. End result is the motor and possibly the transmission are warped and will cost more to fix than the actual KBB value of the vehicle. And of course they will do whatever it takes to deny a claim for negligence.

  Eric, Andrea and Nehemiah all did a fantastic job taking care of our Escape today! They we’re kind, friendly, transparent and fun. I see why Valvoline Instant Oil Change is so highly recommended! We will only be coming here. All fluids, air pressure, filters and full synthetic oil charge for $40 less then the last place we went! Highly recommend you take your business here!
