The manager at your 2411 Broadway location in Everett, Washington, was unnecessarily rude to me, and dismissive of my attempts to engage him in civil conversation. This related to his (incorrect) conclusion that the customer-provided oil filter I had brought with me that day was not the correct oil filter for my vehicle. Having reached that conclusion, he then abruptly instructed your team to cease work on my vehicle and then rudely walked away without allowing me any opportunity to discuss the matter further with him. It was as if he had decided he had made the command decision and "that was that" - making me feel small and as if my opinion was not valued. I do not consider this to be the type of customer service I would expect to see from a professional establishment such as Valvoline - particularly from someone at the manager level. Luckily, another member of your team was more willing to talk further with me, after which time he ultimately came to agree that the filter I provided was in fact the correct filter after all. At that point, your team resumed work on the vehicle, and everything was completed to my satisfaction. I'm not a regular customer at Valvoline, and your manager's attitude toward me that day has given me pause about whether I will return. I must reiterate however that the rest of your team was friendly and accommodating, by contrast to the manager, which was refreshing.

I liked how the oil change was done in a focused atmosphere. The guys just did their job. Joey clarified the necessary details, and we got started. Good discipline. I don't like it when the workers at other oil change stations laugh like they're on a stand-up comedy show. And then you find an oily rag forgotten in the engine compartment, the one they used to wipe the dipstick with, next to the serpentine belt.
Although an oil change seems like a simple procedure, this is the heart of your car, and mistakes are out of the question.
So I want to thank the Joey team for a job well done!
