Updated review to drop from 5 to 2 stars.
I have been to Valvoline in Deer Park several times in the past, and the young guys who helped before offered me the latest coupons Valvoline had to offer at that time, and totally made it a very pleasant experience. Enough so that I came back and bring my other vehicles for the oil change and radiator flush service, AND even brought my mother's vehicle in for service. I left a 5 star review, I was so impressed by the customer service, and it all started by being offered the promotion they already had running.
However, the crew of Valvoline at the most recent visit, I believe the lead guy I dealt with was Jace, absolutely would not offer me any Valvoline coupons/promos, despite me asking, and made me go search on my phone online for them instead, when I knew he had a paper barcode cheatsheet for multiple different promo/coupon codes right next to his scanner in the bay. I could literally see the barcode cheatsheet from where I was in my car, plus the other guys in the past had scanned it there, and got me the current promotional prices with no issue. Keep in mind, this is why I came back.
It really, REALLY irked me that this young kid was straight up nickel and diming me as much as he could, making me waste everyone's time on an errand to search for coupons I knew he had sitting there, despite me telling him I was a repeat customer and had gotten the discounts on service prior to this visit.
The other Valvoline team that helped during my other previous visits was so pleasant and helpful, and them offering the current promotions to me to get the most value for my buck, again, was the main reason I even came back.
This most recent person who "helped" me, made me never want to return to this place again.
Very very sad and unfortunate interaction, considering I spent $270 each for 3 vehicles now, and was planning on doing it again with the rest of my vehicles.
Not sure I will be back if I'm going to be nickel and dimed as a repeat customer.
