The car I chose was not available and they made sure I was happy with what I got. Some attempts to upsell at the counter but better than typical. Simple. Efficient.

Everything was all paid for and ready for pick up but this little curly headed kid with a bruised ego gave my wife a hard time saying thy couldn’t run the deposit on a debit card. Though, you can absolutely run it as credit. I proceeded to go in and he gave me the same hard time. Saying he’s “worked there for a year and he knows what he’s doing”… I’m proud of you buddy that you are able to maintain a basic job for a year, however I just rented a vehicle two weeks prior using the same method. He refused to get me a manager and told me to “kick rocks and get out of here, the great thing about customer service is he can refuse service for any reason”. Hmm, weird way to treat a customer who has already paid. Anyway, quickly called and got a refund and ended up with a way more pleasant experience at Avis. I think this little fellas parents failed him, and that’s unfortunate but likely shouldn’t be working in customer service fields. Would likely be better off at a Walmart stocking shelves. Anyways, Alamo, I know it’s difficult to find employees. But let’s do better with hiring someone of some sort of quality.
