  Where do I start? We drove into town from 30+ miles away for a routine follow up doctors visit, came out to a flat tire visited a couple spots and nobody could help and these people went above and beyond to get us back home with a good tire that the other local business wouldn’t touch, claiming the plug would be too big. It turned into a tiny hole that was easily repaired from the inside and I Can’t speak highly enough of them, highly recommend and customer service skills were OUTSTANDING!!! This is the place in wytheville for all your tire and rim needs and they price match too boot!!!!

  I was in Wytheville, VA for a classic Mini meet when I suddenly found myself in desperate need of fresh 10” tires and a proper alignment. Anyone who owns a classic Mini knows how rare 10-inch tires are and how picky these cars can be about alignment. Thankfully, Thompson Tire Discounters absolutely saved the day. Even though I brought my own set of fresh 10” tires and extended tie rods from a friend at the meet, the team treated my classic Mini like a priceless gem from the moment I rolled in. They were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely excited to help with a specialty car that most shops never see. Huge shoutout to the incredible team: Paul, the Alignment Tech, dialed in the alignment perfectly - even with the extended tie rods and the notoriously finicky Mini suspension. Jackson, the Tire Tech, mounted the 10” tires with extreme care and precision. Kevin, another skilled tech, jumped in to help and treated the car like it was his own. And Sherry, the General Manager at the front desk, was warm, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find a tire shop that understands and respects classic cars, especially something as unique as a classic Mini. Thompson Tire Discounters went above and beyond, and I couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re anywhere near Wytheville - especially if you drive a classic or specialty vehicle - this is the tire shop you can trust.

  Edit: update. They finally got my vehicle done at 1:05pm. They were nicer in the end. Sitting here now Wednesday sept 30th. I had an appointment set up for 10 am. Today. I got here at 9:55. I called to schedule this on Friday. The manger lady up front which was the one that scheduled the appointment for today claims I’m not scheduled in and that is was never discussed. Yet they had my info and my college grant info because it’s my college grant that is paying to get my tires put on. She admitted to sending my grant the quote for putting my tires on but still claims no appointment was ever discussed. She was very rude. She then told me that they are busy all day and I responded by saying well then I will have to wait all day because I have to get these tires on. She then responded with we are busy all day so it’s going to be awhile. I reported her to my college grant. Of course my grant was not happy to hear this as they have a contract with the people I get my grant through. I would never come back here again and I would never recommend them to anyone. Who does business like this. This is not right to schedule me in and then forget to actually do it and then I drive up here over an hour away to get this done and nothing was offered to rectify the situation. Just outright one big disgusting way to do business. They now put me in the system to have my tires done but I’m waiting for the moment they come and tell me they ran out of time today. I don’t like games being played.

  I love this shop; they've been servicing my vehicles for several years now, and I continue to return whenever I need something done. I've never encountered any problems with the work I've had performed there. The staff are consistently friendly and professional.

  This place has always shown me courtesy and patience when having to take my car in for oil change or inspection. Most of all I trust them not to rip me off.
