- JCJosh ClarkAug 15, 20261.0UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. I brought my 2016 Golf GTI in for an oil change requiring 5W-40. I noticed multiple technicians crowding around my engine bay looking guilty, so I asked what was happening. They admitted they filled my vehicle with 5W-30 because they ran out of 5W-40 without notifying me or checking if it met Volkswagen's strict engine specifications (which 5W-30 does NOT for this turbocharged engine). To make matters worse, my receipt shows I was charged for 5W-40! Once I confronted them about putting the wrong oil in my car, 5W-40 suddenly "magically" appeared, and they had to drain the 5W-30 back out. Shame on the manager for directing staff to cheat customers, falsify receipts, and risk severe engine damage just to clear a ticket. If I hadn't been paying attention, I would have driven off with incorrect oil. Management needs to contact me directly I am still waiting for a call to make this right.

The staff also noticed a small leak that I previously had no idea about and that Toyota hadn’t even caught!
